Samunnat Nepal (SN) is a national level non-government organization. The "Alternative Pathways for Out-of-School Adolescents and Youth (APAY) Program" is funded by UNICEF to support Out-of-School Adolescents and Youth (OSAY) in Lumbini, and Madhesh provinces of Nepal. It's focuses on strengthening systems, advocating for OSAY, engaging communities, and facilitating to (re)enrollment of children into formal education including enhancing the foundational skills in numeracy, literacy, and digital education technology (EdTech) through collaboration with the Government of Nepal and Community Learning Centers (CLCs).
1)Job opening: Feld Officers (5 Positions)

Duration: 22 Months (including a three-month probation period)

You would be responsible for:
(a) Providing technical and operational support:
- Overall responsible for managing the program at assigned locations (cluster).
- Implement approved activities at provinces, districts, local governments, and Community Learning Centers (CLCs) levels.
- Provide technical support to local governments and CLCs, particularly in the areas of non-formal education and EdTech solutions.
- Regularly visit program locations to ensure that work meets quality standards.
- Enhance the capacity of CLC facilitators and youth, particularly girls, by providing training on EdTech solutions such as Akelius, Rupantaran, Non-Formal Education Management Information System (NFE-EMIS), and other relevant topics.
- Facilitate training sessions, orientations, and meetings in locations
(b) Networking, Monitoring and Learning:
- Maintain good relationships with LGs, CLCs, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor the progress of interventions in EdTech classes and CLCs
- Prepare document for success stories, collect necessary data and information for project.
- Develop learning documents with capturing key insights and share in relevant forums.
(c) Communication and Reporting:
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with provincial and LG officials, CLCs and Samunnat Nepal.
- Prepare periodic reports on the program and submit them to the supervisor on time.
- Regularly update the project intervention database to ensure accurate and reporting.
- Own and implement organizational values, child safeguarding code of conduct, Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policies and other relevant cross cutting policies.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, preferably in Education, from a recognized university.
- At least two years of experience in education or community development. working with children and youth and non-formal education is added advantage
- Permanent resident of the program districts.
- Willingness to travel frequently across multiple districts.
Skills and Competencies
- Good in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), online portals, email, internet.
- Good facilitation and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills in Nepali, local languages such as Awadhi, Tharu, Bhojpuri, and Maithili are added advance.
- Flexible and adaptable to challenging work environments and positive attitude.
- Demonstrates high levels of integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness in all professional interactions.

2) Job opening for: IT and Documentation Officer (One Position)
Full/Part time: Full time
Duration: 22 Months with three months' probation period
Location: The position is based in Kathmandu, with 30% field visits.
Program: Alternative Pathways for Out-of-School Adolescents and Youth (APAY)
You would be responsible for:
(a) Technical and Operational Support:
- Responsible for supporting government system for updating NFE-EMIS, coordinate with LGs and CLCs in the area of EdTech solutions and Akelius.
- Manage organizational IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks.
- Ensure data security, regular backups, and compliance with IT policies.
- Manage different online meetings through online portals i.e., zoom, teams, google etc., it's records and support to staff if needed.
- Enhance the capacity of staff, CLC facilitators and youth, particularly girls, by providing training on EdTech solutions such as Akelius, NFE-EMIS and other relevant topics.
(b) Documentation and Record Management:
- Organize, update, and maintain all official documents and records in both physical and digital formats.
- Develop and implement a system for efficient document retrieval and storage.
- Ensure confidentiality and proper access control for sensitive documents.
- Prepare different online formats i.e., reporting, monitoring etc. and ensure the progress.
- Provide necessary information, data, analytical reports to the supervisor for reporting.
- Prepare and document success stories, collect photos and videos, and submit these materials to the team leader on a quarterly basis.
- Lead the collection of data and information related to the program, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
(c) Content creation, Editing and reporting:
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other official documents.
- Ensure proper formatting, accuracy, and consistency in all written materials.
- Manage and update the organization’s website and social media platforms as needed.
- Support the organization in event management, communication, and resource sharing.
- Prepare periodic reports and submit to team leaders. As well as annual organizational report of Samunnat Nepal
- Own and implement organizational values, child safeguarding code of conduct, Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policies and other relevant cross cutting policies.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in IT support and documentation related to I/NGO.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, software, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, documentation tools, and web management.
- Willingness to travel frequently across multiple districts.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent in managing Information Technology related portals and softwire
- Capable of working efficiently under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Good in facilitation and problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.
- Good communication skills in English and Nepali, local languages (Tharu, Awadhi, Maithili and Bhojpuri) are added value.

3) Job opening for: Finance Assistant (One Position)—Female only
Full/Part time: Full time
Duration: 11 Months with three months' probation period
Location: The position is based in Kathmandu, with 30% field visits.
Program: Strengthening Opportunities for Adolescent Resilience (Bezos)
The BEZOs Program, funded by Care Nepal, supports the Strengthening Opportunities for Adolescent Resilience initiative by collaborating with federal government stakeholders like the Curriculum Development Center (CDC) and the Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD). The program aims to scale up accelerated learning by creating subject-specific guidebooks based on the condensed curriculum and learning materials for Level 1 and 2. These materials were developed and endorsed by the government through a joint effort of CEHRD, SN, and Care Nepal.
You would be responsible for:
a) Financial Management and delivery of results
- Responsible for manage all financial transitions of Bezos project including day-to-day vouchers entry with supporting documents, checking and verifying and computerized it in accounting financial system.
- Ensure timely TDS deposit, ETDS, TDS verified and day to day banking transaction.
- Prepare general ledgers, trail balance, income statement and balance sheet
- Ensure execution of funds allocation for program activities and administration as planned budget and activities signed with donor.
- Comply with income taxes, VAT and other legal requirement related to NGO management
- Assist to annual and external audits
- Prepare contracts, purchase orders and other official letters documents as per need and ensure to maintain up to date
- Ensure timely payment of salaries and payment to vendors
- Ensure Admin, financial and procurement policies of SN and donor agencies accordingly.
- Analysis budget burning rate quarterly bases and report to program team members.
- Ensure procurement process, annual vendors and service providers by developing roster.
- Forecast for next quarter budget with the support of program coordinator and request to donor for fund transfer.
b) Networking, capacity building and Learning:
- Coordination and communication with organization staff and partner organizations.
- Support program team for effective implementation of approved activities in the assigned provinces, districts, local government in the financial and administrative work.
- Carry out field visit for monitoring propose of financial cross check to ensure the effective use of funds.
- Establish and maintain financial records of organization in provided software, prepare monthly report and share with donor agencies, Director and Project Coordinator.
c) Communication and reporting:
- Prepare and submit periodic reports to donors and concerned agencies in given format on time.
- Respond to financial queries about the organization,
- Prepare variance note with the support of program team members and submit to organization as well as donor organizations.
- Regularly update the project intervention database to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available.
- Support the organization in event management, communication, and resource sharing.
- Own and implement organizational values, child safeguarding code of conduct, Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policies and other relevant cross cutting policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the senior finance officer and supervisor to support the overall success of the program
Qualifications and Requirements
- 10+2 level in any management (finance), preferably in Bachelor in management from recognized university.
- At least one year of experience in relative field.
- Experience to handle accounting software (i.e., FAMAS, Money Works…)
- Experience in operating programs funded by INGOs as well as Governments.
- Willingness to travel project area.

- Good problem-solving skills in a dynamic environment.
