Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research, and Development (LI-BIRD) is a non-profit making, non-governmental organization established in 1995, registered at the District Administration Office, Kaski (Registration # 217/052/053), and affiliated to the Social Welfare Council, Nepal (Registration # 3394). LI-BIRD is committed to capitalizing on local resources, innovations, and institutions for sustainable management of natural resources to improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers.

LI-BIRD is a national organization in the field of participatory research and development in agriculture, climate change, biodiversity and natural resources. Over the past 30 years, LI-BIRD has implemented a wide range of research and development projects across Nepal, contributing significantly to agricultural innovation, agrobiodiversity conservation initiatives, climate change adaptation, risk minimization, food security, and community empowerment. LI-BIRD will mark its 30th anniversary with a celebration in September 2024.

LI-BIRD invites all eligible consultants/firms to submit the proposal for undertaking the assignment. Please use the form/template provided in the EoI document while preparing your proposal. The proposal must be written in the English language. A proposal received after the deadline will not be considered for evaluation. The proposal that does not meet the requirements will be rejected. The proposal that meets the requirements and offers the best value for money will be selected.
