The Yangri Valley, like many rural communities in Nepal, faced immense challenges after the devastating 2015 earthquakes. Many families, struggling to rebuild their lives, migrated to urban areas in search of better opportunities. However, the future of this valley relies on the education of its next generation, offering hope and sustainable livelihoods within the community.

To support this vision, Himalayan Life established the Yangri Academic Centre (YAC) in 2074 – a school committed to providing outstanding education through innovative teaching practices. Job Opportunities at Yangri Academic Center

1. All Subjects: Grade 1-3 Teachers

We are seeking enthusiastic and caring teachers to guide young learners in Grades 1-3 across all subjects. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of early childhood education and a passion for fostering a nurturing learning environment.

Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s degree in education (or related field)

·        Teaching certification (preferred)

2. Secondary Level Math Teacher (Opt. Math)

We are looking for a skilled Math teacher to teach Secondary Level students.  Candidates with expertise in advanced mathematics are highly encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or education

·        Proven experience teaching secondary-level math

 3. Secondary Level Social Studies Teacher

We seek a dynamic and passionate Social Studies teacher to inspire students in understanding history, geography, and social sciences at the secondary school level.

Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s degree in social studies, History, or Education

·        Teaching experience in secondary-level social studies

4. Grade 4-8 Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced Grade 4-8 Coordinator to oversee curriculum, teacher development, and student progress within these grade levels. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader and collaborator.

Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s degree in education (master’s preferred)

·        Proven experience in school leadership and coordination

5. Kindergarten Teacher

We are seeking enthusiastic and caring teachers to guide young learners in kindergarten Level. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of early childhood education and a passion for fostering a nurturing learning environment.

Requirements:

·        Education achieved till Grade 12 (Minimum)

·        Teaching certification (preferred)

6. Accountant

Our school is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial operations, including budgeting, invoicing, and payroll.

Requirements:

·        Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

·        Experience in financial management and reporting

7. School Nurse

We are looking for a compassionate School Nurse to manage student health needs, provide first aid, and support wellness programs.

Requirements:

·        Certified Nurse

·        Previous experience in school or pediatric healthcare setting

·        Strong communication and organizational skills

Other Specification

·        All posts are in residential setup.

·        Fluency in oral and written Nepali and English

·        Good command of computer skills (MS Office package)

·        Strong communication skills with students and parents
