The Pradiya Foundation is a Nepali non-profit dedicated to developing a vibrant, empowered, and resilient community in a remote Himalayan village. A crucial step in this mission is the establishment of a primary school, providing high-quality education to local children. Founded in 2022, the Pradiya Foundation began as a children’s home in the stunning Nepali Himalayas. Its founder, Oinak Singh, grew up in a children’s home in India and dreamed of creating a similar project in his family’s home village, Oda, located in Karnali, one of Nepal’s poorest regions. Beyond providing a home for orphans and children from disadvantaged backgrounds, the foundation actively works in education, health, nutrition, women’s empowerment, organic farming, and sustainable practices. Mission of Pradiya Foundation Primary School: To provide children in a remote Himalayan village with transformative, high-quality, and holistic education that nurtures their potential, fosters open-mindedness, and empowers them to contribute to their community’s progress. By addressing systemic underdevelopment at its root, we create a cycle of sustainable development that benefits the entire village. Vision of Pradiya Foundation Primary School: To build a dynamic international school community in a remote Nepalese village. Our goal is to provide employment for local teachers while welcoming international educators and specialists to share their knowledge. By emphasizing non-traditional teaching methods and cross-cultural exchanges, we aim to elevate local teaching standards, broaden children’s horizons, and create new opportunities. Education will drive sustainable development, fostering resilience and reversing urban migration.
