Peace Rehabilitation Center

Peace Rehabilitation Centre Nepal (PRC) is non-government organization. It is registered in Home Ministry and affiliated with Social Welfare Council on Nepal, which monitor all the NGO in Nepal. The organization in Nepal was established with a mission for Preventing girls trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation and bondage labor from Nepal. Rescue the victims and reintegrate them to the family or the society by empowering and equipping them, which enables to live a new life with dignity. The organization is governed by a seven-member executive committee. The annual plan and activities of the organization through a bottom-up planning strategy. PRC is currently working in Nepal-India border to prevent trafficking, rescue trafficked women from India, provide counseling, Rehabilitate the rescued people in their community, provide economic empowerment and leadership opportunity to the rescued and rehabilitated People.

Details / requirements:

Exchange for Change project is a joint initiative of the Peace Rehabilitation Center (PRC) and Milaan be the change NGO supported by Norec, Norway. Norec has over 50 years of experience in the exchange of personnel between workplaces across different countries and cultures. Norec believes that through the exchange of personnel, knowledge is challenged, changed and created understanding and tolerance increase. During the exchange program Norec provides training to the exchange participants and their coordinators thoroughly before and after the exchange, to ensure that the competences are transferred to the rest of the workplace. In this way, the organizations become stronger and can deliver better services in their local communities.

Project details: Four participants from each country (Nepal & India) will be engaged in the exchange project. The participants will work together on the projects being implemented in both countries and will replicate the best practices in their own country. The participants will be mobilized such that they will get an opportunity to learn the dynamics of social inclusion, gender-based discrimination, gender-based violence, and social malpractices. By the end of the exchange cycle, the participants will be able to make a comparative understanding of the situation of women and girls in the two countries.

Duration of Contract: 12 months/ One Year( working four months in India, four months in Nepal and four months follow up work)

General requirements: Intermediate degree (+2) required. Bachelor’s degree in any subject from accredited institutions would be a plus.

Age: Above 18 years

Skills: Proficiency in English, and Nepali and being open to learning Hindi. Knowledge of local languages would be an asset; Computer literacy in standard office software applications is essential.
