ASN has been engaged in developing and implementing programs aimed at protection, promotion, and fulfillment of child rights in Nepal. Currently ASN has been working in 20 districts under 6 Thematic Areas as: Education/Child Protection, Women Empowerment, Livelihood/ Natural Resource Management, Disaster Risk Reduction, Health/ Nutrition and Good Governance.

Aasaman Nepal is implementing Mother and Child Health and Nutrition Programme in Siraha and Saptari Districts with support of World Food Program. The project focus to improve community awareness, gender equality, capacity strengthening, infrastructure support etc. to improve health and nutrition status of the local communities focusses to PBW/G through delivery and utilization of quality health and nutrition services.
Aasaman Nepal is looking for the self-motivated, result oriented and hard-working Nepali citizen for the following position:
1. Position Title: Program Coordinator
Location: Saptari
Objective/Purpose of the Position:
Project responsible person for agreed activities implementation as per the Field Level Agreement (FLA), Coordination with district level government and WFP team
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible to overall project management and financial management of the program
- Project planning, team management and programmatic implementation at program implementation area.
- Prepare DIP, plan activities and budget as per the need of the program with the close coordination with WFP
- Ensure the participatory planning and effective implementation of the project in close coordination with the project team.
- Coordination with the different stakeholders like provincial health directorates, district health officials, municipalities, health posts, FCHVs and likeminded organizations for the effective implementation of the program.
- Prepare narrative and quantitative report and disseminate it when required in proper format and standards.
- Diverse team management to yield quality results within the stipulated time period,
- proactive in risk management and promote governance to contribute on strategic outcomes,
- Guiding the team for the proper implementation of project output for intended Impact.
- Fulfill other appropriate level responsibilities as defined by the Project.
Advocacy, Networking and Social Accountability
- Coordinate with Province, local government authorities, Consultants, and other non-governmental organizations to create collaborative efforts through regular meetings, interactions, and initiating joint monitoring visits and social campaigns.
- Ensure accountability towards government authorities by sharing project target, budget, progress as well as delivery approaches.
- Represent the organization at different forums, platforms, networks, and consultants and ensure meaningful participation.
- Proactively participate in project planning meetings and meetings with relevant stakeholders.
Monitoring, Reporting and Documentation:
- Understand the project’s theory of change, log frame, monitoring framework etc. and share with Team.
- Oversee the implementation of project activities in coordination with management functions (monitoring and evaluation, follow-up, supervision, publication, communication, and training).
- Prepare and compile quarterly, semi-annual, and annual progress reports, study reports, monitoring reports, for submission to the partner agency.
- Prepare details implement plan, training materials and manage the training/events of the program according to the schedule including the adaptation of guidelines and curriculum.
- Verify and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual reports including validating programmatic and financial reports and ensure timely submission of agreed reports.
- Coordinate periodic monitoring and joint monitoring visits as agreed.
- Work closely with finance person in the organization to prepare budget, any amendments, and forecasts as per project requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- MPH or equivalent with 3 years’ management experience in the Nutrition, System strengthening and MCHN field,
- Proven ability to manage risks and promote governance to contribute on strategic outcomes,
- Experience working with children and their wellbeing in both development or emergency contexts,
- Have a good technical knowledge and experience on Nutrition Specific and Nutrition Sensitive along with data and information management,
- Proven project management and financial management experience,
- Diverse team management to yield quality results within the stipulated time period,
- Presentation skill to highlight on the areas of success and failures with qualitative and quantitative data and relevant information,
- Two-wheeler driving license preferred.

2. Position Title: MEAL Officer
Location: Siraha
Objective/Purpose of the Position:
As a MEAL Officer you will be responsible for data management, monitoring and reporting of the project, support implementing field level activities in both Districts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support project team for effective implementation of M&R plan maintaining the beneficiary database management based on beneficiary data collects from the field.
- Ensure the quality in documentation and reporting with compilation of qualitative and quantitative information collects from the field.
- Support in developing required forms and format and facilitate the field staff to carry out essential qualitative and quantitative information as prescribed format regarding project requirements.
- Support in developing a Monitoring and Reporting framework and essential tools for carrying out effective monitoring to capture the desired result.
- Develop comprehensive data-based reporting format and figure out the achievements with evidence share to stakeholders, beneficiaries and authorities to influence them for replication and scale-up of best practices with sustainability.
- Assemble and compilation of success stories, change stories from the field and generate knowledge with capturing the results of the project interventions and share a wider range of like-minded stakeholders, beneficiaries and authorities to influence them to the establishment of achievement.
Required Qualifications:
- BPH or equivalent with 2 years’ experience in relevant field.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of MS office Package (Word/Excel/PowerPoint etc.) & Internet.

3. Position Title: Public Health and Nutrition Officer
Location: Siraha
Objective/Purpose of the Position:
As a Public Health and Nutrition Officer you will be responsible for conduction of field level agreed activities of the allocated 8 local level of Siraha district with close coordination with Local government and project team They will develop their capacity in facilitation, assessment and evaluation and will be responsible for the smooth and efficient implementation of the project activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Planning and Implementation
- The Public Health & Nutrition Officer will be primarily responsible to provide technical assistance to prioritized municipalities during program planning & implementation through health facilities, health mother groups, FCHVs and the community engagement, as well as their follow ups.
- S/he will also hold the responsibility to support in mentoring the health facility staff including the HMIS recording and reporting,
- S/he will be responsible for the overall coordination with local stakeholder, DHOs, beneficiaries,
- Data collection, report preparation, facilitation, quality assurance and carrying out other administrative duties,
- Technically support to the government in regards to maternal and child health nutrition activities,
- Guide and monitor to the field level supervisors,
- The Public Health and Nutrition Officer will be majorly responsible to recognize the lack of awareness on nutrition at community level among the target groups,
- S/he will create the MCHN relevant awareness among all concerned and improve the overall nutritional outcome,
- PHNO will hold the responsibility to develop SBCC action plan to address the prevalent issues; monitor the SBCC activities,
- S/he will be responsible to ensure that the target group receives gender transformative social and behavior change communication for improved consumption of nutritious diet, feeding practices
Required Qualifications:
- BPH or equivalent degree in health/nursing and 2 years’ experience in community mobilization and government coordination specially in Nutrition, System strengthening and MCHN
- Good understanding of Government health system, HMIS recording and reporting tools,
- Ability to provide technical support to health facilities
- Strong understanding of the area of the development work and of the health programming
- Proven experiences of working with health mother groups, vulnerable groups, marginalized community and other stakeholders,
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
- Demonstrated experience in the use of MS office Package (Word/Excel/PowerPoint etc.) & Internet,
- Two-wheeler driving license preferred.
Languages: Strong command of Nepali, English, Maithili, Bhojpuri (oral and written) and local language preferred/required.
