Biodiversity Conservation Center Nepal (BCCN) was founded in 2018 as a non-governmental organization under the Association Registration Act – 2034 in Saptari district, eastern Nepal. Its goal is to protect biodiversity and promote the conservation of flora and fauna in Nepal. BCCN has been formed by a group of indigenous people with a strong interest in flora and fauna. The organization is supported by a team of experts. BCCN hereby invites applications from experienced and qualified Nepalese professional citizens for the following positions for anticipated projects with supporting agencies:

Details of Announcement:

1. Aquaculture Field Facilitator (AFF) – Proposed 3 positions 

The Aquaculture Field Facilitator will play a crucial role in facilitating the formation and development of fish farmer groups, supporting capacity building activities related to fish farming, hatchery and nursery operation, production, and marketing. The Aquaculture Field Facilitator (AFF) will be responsible for group mobilization, working in close collaboration with the aquaculture field coordinator, and reporting to the field Aquaculture Coordinator. This position is for the Saptari district, Shambhunath Municipality.

Minimum educational requirement: +2 pass / Diploma in Fishery/Veterinary Technician/Agriculture/Agri business/Aquaculture business.

2. Aquaculture Field Coordinator (AFC) – Proposed 1 position

The Aquaculture Field Coordinator (AFC) will play a key role in establishing and strengthening fish farmer groups, leading capacity-building initiatives, and promoting best aquaculture practices. The AFC will collaborate closely with fish hatcheries, nurseries, feed millers, processors, feed dealers, sub-dealers, government officials, aquaculture/fisheries associations, research institutes, universities, and farmer leaders. Additionally, the AFC will provide direct support to Aquaculture Field Facilitators and report to the Aquaculture Project Manager.

Location: Base in Shambhunath Municipality, and occasionally visit to Saptakoshi Municipality

Qualification: at least Bachelor’s degree in Fishery, Agriculture, or a related field.

3. Admin Finance Officer – 1 (One)

This position is responsible for the financial management, office administration and logistics management of the BCCN project office, Saptari

Duty Station: BCCN project office with 40-50% field visit

  • Register and file all official documents and correspondence properly.
  • Assist in organizing program activities, training, and meetings.
  • Purchase stationery and supplies following the procurement policy.
  • Arrange travel, transportation, accommodations, and other logistics.
  • Maintain the official vehicle logbook and ensure timely servicing and maintenance.
  • Prepare and submit monthly attendance, travel, and leave records.
  • Process monthly payroll, deposit salaries into staff bank accounts, and contribute to SSF/CIT/PF accounts.
  • Prepare tax reports for employees, vendors, and contractors, and ensure timely tax payments.
  • Keep personnel records of project staff according to company guidelines.
  • Track supplies and equipment received.
  • Update and maintain inventory records, and conduct physical checks as needed.
  • Guide committees on financial procedures and collect documents for advance settlements.
  • Review invoices and bills, ensuring all payments are recorded in the accounting system.
  • Ensure expenses remain within budget and verify the completeness of payment documentation.
  • Regularly check bills and documents for payments and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist the supervisor with monthly fund forecasts and requests.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including reconciliations.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and prepare statements for outstanding advances.
  • Manage petty cash according to the organizational policy.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Fishery, Veterinary, business administration (BBA), or equivalent having minimum 2 years of work experience in finance, administration and logistics.
