EDC- Nepal Doti, established in 1997, is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to improving the socio-economic, education and cultural conditions of Dalit, marginalized and disadvantaged communities of Far-western region. It operates primarily in Doti district of the Sudurpaschim provinces, implementing a range of projects and programs based on HRBA in collaboration with various donor and agencies. The organization's activities focus on the following thematic areas: i) Advocacy against caste discriminations, GBV and, Inequality (Social Justice). ii) Resilient Livelihoods. iii) Women Leadership Development and Mobilization. iv) WASH and Nutrition. v) Safe school and quality education. vi) Governance and Social Accountability. vii) Child Sponsorship.

Equality Development Center (EDC) Nepal is implementing Advancing Nutritional Status of School Children in Doti Project, funded by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Japan and supported by Good Neighbors Japan in partnership with Good Neighbors International (GNI) Nepal. This project is dedicated to enhancing the nutritional health of school-aged children in Doti. The project is implementing in one Municipalities of Doti district– Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality. 1. Program Officer - 1
Program Officer is responsible for leading and managing project activities, ensuring efficient team mobilization and high-quality execution of WASH and nutrition initiatives in schools and communities. This includes coordinating with local governments, stakeholders, and community partners; overseeing budget management, financial compliance, and expenditure tracking; facilitating training, workshops, and capacity-building events; and conducting regular field visits to monitor progress and ensure alignment with project objectives. Additionally, the Program Officer ensures timely reporting, documentation, and adherence to government and donor guidelines to achieve sustainable project outcomes.

2. Admin/Finance Officer – 1
Admin & Finance Officer will be responsible for preparing and submitting weekly and monthly financial reports, managing petty cash, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and overseeing cash and treasury operations. She/he will maintain accurate financial documentation, adhere to donor financial norms and policies, and lead audits and financial reporting processes. Additionally, she/he will provide comprehensive administrative support to the project office, ensure the safety and organization of office supplies, and manage staff records. The officer will oversee asset and inventory management, initiate proper documentation, support timely procurement, and ensure the efficient settlement of financial bills and vouchers. Furthermore, she/he will provide financial orientation to project staff, establish strong coordination with the project team, and follow up on financial activities to ensure timely completion.

3. Sub-Engineer – 1
Sub-Engineer is responsible for planning and implementing infrastructure interventions, such as kitchen facilities to support school mid-day meal programs and school WASH facilities, including the construction of child-friendly, gender-inclusive, disabled-accessible, and menstrual hygiene-friendly toilets for boys and girls, as well as drinking water supply systems and waste pits. She/he conducts feasibility and detailed surveys, ensures quality construction as per approved designs, and supports construction-related planning. The Sub-engineer coordinates with communities, local governments, and stakeholders to form user committees, address project priorities, and promote community ownership. Additionally, she/he prepares and verifies bills, compiles progress reports, monitors construction activities, and ensures compliance with schedules and specifications. The Sub-Engineer also designs infrastructure in line with national standards, manages resources, implements quality control measures, conducts field visits to monitor progress, builds the capacity of subordinates, and performs other tasks as assigned by supervisors.

4. Junior Technical Assistance (JTA) – 1
Junior Technical Assistant (JTA) is responsible for supporting the planning and implementation of WASH and nutrition-related interventions by collecting data, assisting in designing plans, and providing technical support for school kitchen gardens. She/he supports the formation and facilitation of various committees and groups, conducts training and sensitization sessions, monitors project activities through field visits, and prepares reports, case stories, and documentation of lessons learned. She/he ensures effective collaboration and coordination with local stakeholders, facilitates regular meetings, and maintains detailed records of project activities while reporting to the supervisor as required.

5. Community mobilizer – 1
Community Mobilizer is responsible for collecting data related to WASH and nutrition from schools, health facilities, and local stakeholders, and supporting the design of related plans and interventions. She/he involves in leading the implementation of WASH and nutrition activities, forming/reforming committees, and coordinating with teachers, health workers, and community groups to execute field activities. The Community Mobilizer will sensitize beneficiaries on hygiene and nutrition issues, assist in organizing training and workshops, and ensure effective coordination with local stakeholders. Regular reporting on activities, lessons learned, and best practices is required, along with maintaining activity records and photographs.
