This position will be responsible for providing support and coaching to WVIN’s NGO Partners and ensure all NGO Partners adhere required compliances, which includes payment and disbursements; procurement review; monitoring and reporting as per tools with at least 60% visit to the field/Project locations. To ensure stewardship, accountability and transparency in the Finance and SCM sectors through active resourcing and empowerment of PNGOs.
1. Field MEAL Specialist based in Bardibas, East Field Office
Under the supervision of Field Operation Manager and technical guidance of NO MEAL Manager, Field MEAL Specialist has overall responsibility quality, outcome and progress monitoring, beneficiary tracking, activity tracking, accountability system and information management of current and potential grants/ PNS and sponsorship funding-based projects under domain of the Field Office. This position is also responsible to support in carrying out assessment, manage baselines and evaluations under guidance of NO Evaluation and Research Manager. This ensures that there is a reliable, up-to-date database of information of all program work and is responsible for the timely and accurate evidences that are helpful to make necessary program adjustments for maximum impact on target groups and serves the donor requirement. Furthermore, the MEAL Specialist has to make sure the partner NGOs follow sound monitoring and accountability system as per WVIN MEALS standards.
2. Women Economic Empowerment Coordinator based Rautahat under East Field Office
WVI Nepal is implementing the Sikai Plus project in Madhesh province to promote inclusive education, particularly at a basic level. Along with other objectives, one of the key objectives is to ensure Women's Economic Empowerment (WEE), enable women to lead household decisions, and actively engage with communities to create an environment that is inclusive of education at home and in the community. This position reporting to Sikai plus Project Manager, the WEE Coordinator will lead the project’s strategy and linked activities to advance WEE outcomes across the project cycle. This position will be responsible for building the WEE capacity of team members within the scope of the projects, including value chain development (VCD)/ market systems development (MSD) programming and gender, supporting gender mainstreaming in project(s) activities, leading targeted approaches and strategies to promote WEE outcomes. S/he will provide technical backstopping to encourage the adoption of WEE in quality assurance and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) activities and coordinate with other project team members and partners to plan and implement strategies for effective project implementation.The role provides support and backstopping for external relationship building and engagement with government line agencies and district-level partners to ensure successful and quality project implementation. The incumbent shall provide technical guidance and support on WV programmes and strategy to contribute on overarching outcome contributions. This position is based in WVI Nepal’s working district in Madhesh Province and will require frequent travel to project sites.
