Mukti Nepal is a youth women-led, non-governmental, and non-profit community-based organization dedicated to protecting human rights, promoting women's rights, and advocating for access to justice and the preventing the gender-based violence (GBV) since 2011 in Madhesh province specially in Siraha District, it is led by a dedicated women team with reach experience on social development and women human rights as well as committed to fostering equity and social justice. 

As a renowned women-led organization based in Madhesh Province, Mukti Nepal has been at the forefront of addressing inequalities and GBV while promoting women’s rights. Currently, the 5 years USAID Community Justice Project (CJP) is going to implement by Mukti Nepal in consortium with LACC Nepal in Mirchaiya and Karjanaha municipalities to enhance access to equitable justice women, youth, and marginalized groups in Siraha district. 

The Mukti Nepal invites applications from qualified and motivated candidates for the following positions:

1.     District Coordinator-DC (1)

Key Responsibilities

A. Stakeholder Engagement, Communication and Coordination:

  • Act as the primary liaison for consortium leads and district-level stakeholders, fostering effective partnerships.
  • Facilitate engagement with local and provincial governments to ensure smooth project implementation.
  • Represent the project in meetings, workshops, and forums to advocate for equitable justice initiatives.

B. Planning and Implementation and reporting:

  • Develop detailed project activity plans and ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality execution.
  • Integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into all project activities.
  • Timely reporting to organization as required. 
  • Achievement documentation. Success story writing and sharing. 

C. Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Develop and implement monitoring frameworks to track project progress and performance.
  • Prepare periodic progress reports and share findings with the consortium and stakeholders.

D. Capacity-Building Initiatives:

  • Organize and facilitate capacity-building programs for stakeholders and beneficiaries.
  • Identify gaps and recommend training programs to strengthen the skills of the project team and local stakeholders.

E.     Advocacy and Representation:

  • Act as an advocate for marginalized groups, especially women and youth, promoting their access to justice.
  • Raise awareness about gender-based violence and justice reform through community outreach.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related fields (master’s degree preferred).

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in program coordination, justice sector reforms, or community development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in working with marginalized communities and advocating for women human rights.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of the Nepali justice system and related policy frameworks.
  • Project management, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in Nepali and English (written and spoken).
  • Bike driving, License

2.         Admin and Finance officer- AFO (1) 

Key Responsibilities

A. Finance and Accounting:

  • Prepare financial reports, manage budgets, and ensure timely disbursement of salaries, payments, and taxes.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including vouchers, cash flow, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with tax and VAT regulations etc.

B. Administrative Tasks:

  • Manage contracts, personnel records, and inventory.
  • Oversee procurement, event logistics, and office administration.
  • Coordinate with staff for internal audits and financial reviews.

C. Program Support:

  • Assist in tracking project expenses and preparing budget vs. expenditure reports.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.

Qualifications and Skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in finance and administration.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, true book and computer applications.
  • Communication, record keeping and documentation skills.
  • Bike driving, License

3.     Social Mobilizer-SM (2) 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct community-level engagement activities to promote equitable access to justice.
  • Raise awareness of justice-related issues among marginalized groups, particularly women and youth.
  • Support implementation of project activities at the grassroots level with close coordination of team and organization.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Intermediate, +2 level in any faculty (bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • At least 1 year of experience in social mobilization and community development.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

4.     Psychosocial Counselor -PSC (1) Women

Responsibilities

A. Counseling and Support: Provide individual and group counseling to address mental health, trauma, GBV, and psychosocial challenges.

B. Case Management: Assess client needs, develop intervention plans, maintain records, and track progress.

C. Community Outreach: Conduct awareness sessions and facilitate support groups on mental health and psychosocial well-being.

D.    Referral Services: Link clients to specialized services such as legal aid, healthcare, and shelter support as needed.

E.     Crisis Intervention: Offer immediate support for clients in acute distress, including suicide prevention and trauma care.

F.     Capacity Building: Organize and deliver training sessions on mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS).

G.    Monitoring and Reporting: Document interventions, prepare progress reports, and contribute to program evaluations.

Qualifications and competency:

  • Education: Minimum Intermediate, +2 level in any faculty. Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field Preferred)
  • Certification: 6 months training in psychosocial counseling or mental health. 
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in providing psychosocial support, counseling, or working with vulnerable populations.
  • Competency: Knowledge of computer application, documentation, witting and spoken and story writing.
