Tarangini Mahila Adhikar Prashikshyan Kendra (Tarangini Foundation), established in 2017 AD, is a non-profit organization working on women’s rights. It is dedicated to documenting feminist movements, promoting self-care, and providing a Feminist Mentoring Program that aims to develop a self-representative feminist movement.
Tarangini Foundation is seeking dedicated and experienced staff for various roles to carry out its activities and strengthen the feminist movement through its initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to transformative feminist initiatives that empower marginalized women, agricultural and domestic workers, migrant workers, and elected women representatives in Nepal. 1. Program Coordinator (1 Position):
Location: Kathmandu with frequent visits to program areas
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Science, Development Studies or Social Work with 4-5 years’ experience in the relevant field.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement detailed program plans and budgets aligned with organizational goals and priorities.
- Monitor, regulate, and optimize communication, including social media channels, for advocacy and outreach.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality program implementation and documentation in alignment with feminist principles.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including donors, government agencies, and civil society organizations, to ensure impactful program delivery.
- Facilitate effective communication with donor agencies, ensuring timely reporting and transparency.
- Oversee project monitoring and evaluation systems to track progress and outcomes.
- Document and share achievements, lessons learned, success stories, and feedback for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with field teams, local authorities, and partners to ensure effective supervision and program execution.
- Monitor planned budgets versus expenditures, ensuring cost efficiency and proper financial documentation.
- Provide financial inputs and strategic guidance for timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare and submit high-quality program reports, including analysis of challenges and strategic solutions.
- Represent the organization in external meetings, forums, and advocacy events to promote program objectives.
- Build and maintain strong networks with government bodies, NGOs, and other key stakeholders.
- Identify funding opportunities and assist in proposal writing and donor engagement.
- Raise funds for the programs in need.
Skills and Competencies

2. Finance & Admin Officer (1 Position):
Location: Kathmandu with frequent visits to program areas
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Management with 3-4 years of work experience or a Master’s Degree and two yrs. of experience in the same field.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare annual, quarterly, and monthly budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain robust financial systems and processes to ensure compliance with donor guidelines and organizational policies.
- Manage and reconcile petty cash, bank accounts, and financial transactions regularly.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of tax returns, audits, and compliance with local tax regulations.
- Conduct internal financial audits, identify discrepancies, and propose corrective actions.
- Support program teams in financial planning and budget utilization, offering guidance and training as needed.
- Monitor fund utilization, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with program objectives.
- Maintain comprehensive records of staff contracts, personal files, and leave records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Oversee office utilities, supplies, and equipment to ensure a well-functioning work environment.
- Ensure systematic inventory and asset management, including periodic verification of organizational assets.
- Coordinate procurement processes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement administrative systems to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for workshops, seminars, trainings, and other organizational events.
- Manage travel arrangements for staff, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain vehicle usage records, ensuring regular servicing and compliance with organizational policies.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, donor regulations, and financial best practices.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong accounting and financial management skills, with proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally).
- Excellent knowledge of tax regulations, financial compliance, and local laws in Nepal.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to do the cost benefit analysis of program and prepare reports.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills in both Nepali and English.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

3. Program Officer (Legal – 1 position):
Location: Kathmandu with frequent visits to program areas
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Law, with 3-4 years of work experience in the women’s rights and legal sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement programs, including monitoring and evaluation.
- Build linkages with government bodies, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Advocate for women’s rights through interaction meetings, legal literacy sessions, and public events.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to ensure programs align with human rights frameworks.
- Assist in preparing legal documents, contracts, and MoUs as required for program activities and partnerships.
- Research and analyze relevant laws, policies, and regulations impacting women's rights and draft recommendations for advocacy efforts.
- Organize training sessions on legal rights for program staff, community members, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with partner organizations to conduct legal awareness campaigns for marginalized communities.
- Represent Tarangini Foundation in relevant legal forums and events to advocate for systemic changes in favor of women’s rights.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and national legal standards in all program operations.
- Document legal cases, challenges, and successes from the field for future advocacy and learning.
- File PIL when needed.
- Prepare shadow reports in group for international human right mechanisms
- Able to communicate with human rights mechanisms such as special rapporteurs and treaty body mechanism.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong communication and writing skills in both Nepali and English.
- Gender sensitivity and ability to work in multicultural environments.
- Familiarity with Nepal's legal framework on gender and human rights.
- Proficient in legal research and drafting documents.

4. Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (1 Position):

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Development Studies, or related fields with 3-4 years of experience in relevant field.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize Feminist M&E frameworks aligned with organizational goals and donor requirements.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of M&E systems to ensure relevance and efficiency in dynamic program environments.
- Oversee field-level data collection processes, ensuring accuracy, validity, and gender sensitivity.
- Utilize qualitative and quantitative methods for data analysis, providing insights for decision-making and program adaptation.
- Establish and maintain databases to manage program data, ensuring its security and accessibility.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor program quality, compliance, and adherence to organizational values.
- Coordinate and facilitate mid-term and end-line evaluations of projects, engaging stakeholders for comprehensive insights.
- Document and disseminate lessons learned, best practices, and case studies to promote transformative change.
- Organize learning events and workshops for staff and stakeholders to share findings and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with program teams, partners, and stakeholders to align activities with program objectives.
- Prepare high-quality reports, including data visualizations, for internal use and donor submissions.
- Support proposal and report development by contributing to M&E components and providing insights from previous projects.
- Communicate with donors and fulfill reporting requirements.
- Regular communication with media, stakeholders and other relevant agencies.
- Regular update of website, social media and other necessary areas for organizational visibility.
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of M&E frameworks and tools, with demonstrated expertise in log frames, theories of change, and gender-sensitive evaluation approaches.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS) and experience with digital data collection tools (e.g., Kobo Toolbox, ODK).
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills for interpreting complex datasets and generating actionable insights.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills in both Nepali and English, including report writing and presentation capabilities.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a commitment to gender equity and social inclusion.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently, including to remote program areas, as required.
- Good writing skills in English and Nepali
- Good communication skills individually and in groups.
