Youth Engagement Officer- 1 (Full time)
Location: Shangri-La Orphanage Home- Chapagaoun, Lalitpur, Shangri-La Reintegration Project, Satdobato.
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary: Basic Salary 30000 to 35000 based on their experience additional SSF will be provided. Other facility office will provide two wheelers vehicle for the post.
Job Summary: The Youth Engagement Officer will be responsible to engage youth in meeting, activities, empower youth leadership, and address issues relevant to their needs and aspirations. The officer will work closely with individual youth for their parental care and provide all sort of care and guidance for their academic and overall growth.
Responsibility:
- Establish and maintain relationship with youth to identify their need, interest and priorities and support them accordingly.
- Empower youth to voice their concerns, opinions and aspirations through forums, focus groups, surveys, and other participatory methods.
- Provide mentorship, guidance and support to youth in developing their leadership skill, self-confidence and decision-making abilities.
- Organize and coordinate youth-led campaigns, awareness-raising activities, and community service projects that address social issues and promote positive change.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage youth in various events that promote their active participation and leadership.
- Utilize digital platforms and social media to reach and engage youth, share resources and facilitate virtual learning and networking opportunities.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of youth engagement initiatives, collect feedback from youths and continuously improve project effectiveness.
- Prepare repots, presentations and communication materials to document achievement, lessons learned and best practices in youth engagement.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social work, Youth Development, International Development or related field. Female are encourage to apply.
- Previous experience working with youth, Youth organization, NGO etc is an assets.
- Knowledge of youth development principles, participatory approaches and youth-led Programming.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups of young people.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with parents, relatives of youth stakeholders.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skis to design innovative youth engagement activities and initiatives.
- Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation methodologies, data collection techniques, and reporting requirements.
- Commitment to promoting youth rights, gender equality, social inclusion and diversity.

Position: Health Coordinator-1
Location: Godavari Municipality-10, Chapagaun, Neupanegaun.

Job Summary:
The health Coordinator is responsible for managing the overall health and well-being of children residing in Children’s Home and Re-integration of Youths. This role involves ensuring access to medical care, promoting hygiene, creating health education programs. The coordinator will work closely with children, project staffs, local health post, health department of local government, and other stakeholders to address the awareness, preventive and curative etc.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Healthcare Management:
- Ensure timely access to healthcare services such as routine check-ups, vaccinations, and emergency care.
- Liaise with local government hospitals, health posts, and specialists for medical support when needed.
- Maintain updated health records for individual children, youths including medical history, vaccinations, and treatment plans.
2. Health Education and Awareness:
- Conduct health education sessions for children and staff on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
- Promote awareness of mental health and organize activities to support emotional well-being.
3. Hygiene and Nutrition:
- Monitor and enforce hygiene standards in the children’s home, youths’ rooms including personal hygiene and cleanliness of living spaces.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure balanced and nutritious meal plans for the children.
4. Emergency Preparedness:
- Develop and implement protocols for handling medical emergencies.
- Train staff in basic first aid and emergency response procedures.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare regular health reports for management, donors, and relevant authorities.
- Ensure compliance with local health regulations and guidelines.
5. Mental Health Support:
- Identify children requiring psychological support and coordinate with counselors or psychologists.
- Organize recreational activities to enhance children’s mental well-being.
6. Community Collaboration:
- Engage with local health authorities and community organizations to enhance health services.
- Advocate for resources and support to improve the children’s overall well-being.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, or BSc Nursing. Female are encouraged to apply.
Experience: experience in healthcare or child welfare, preferably in an NGO or children’s homes.
Must have two wheelers valid license.

Children Care Worker- 3
Location: Godavari Municipality-10, Chapagaun, Neupanegaun.
Employment Type: Residential staffs, full time
Salary: Competitive Salary based on their experienced additional SSF and residential allowance will be provided to residential staffs.
Job Summary: The Orphanage children care worker plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being, safety, and development of children residing in the orphanage home operated by the NGO. The primary responsibility is to provide a nurturing environment that fosters physical, emotional, mental and cognitive and social growth for orphaned children. The caretaker works closely with other staff members to ensure the smooth functioning of the orphanage home.
Responsibility
Child Care and Supervision:
1. Provide daily care, including feeding, bathing, dressing, and administering medication as necessary.
2. Ensure a safe and hygienic living environment for children.
3. Supervise children during daily activities, including meals, recreation, and study time.
4. Offer emotional support and guidance to children, helping them cope with the challenges of orphanhood.
5. Monitor children’s behavior and intervene when necessary to address conflicts of behavioral issues.
6. Child rights and child protection knowledge is an asset.
Education and Development:
7. Support children in their educational pursuits, assisting with homework and educational activities.
8. Encourage participation in extracurricular activities and provide opportunities for skill development.
9. Facilitate access to educational resources and opportunities for learning enrichment.
Health and Wellness:
10. Coordinate medical care for children, including scheduling appointments and accompanying them to healthcare facilities.
11. Monitor children’s health and well-being, reporting any concerns to relevant authorities.
12. Promote healthy lifestyle habits, including nutrition and exercise.
Administrative Tasks:
13. Maintain accurate records of children’s personal information, academic progress, medical history, and progress.
14. Assist in the procurement of supplies and resources needed for daily operations.
15. Collaborate with administrative staff and help in administration work.
Communication and Collaboration
16. Communicate regularly with children, staffs to ensure effective coordination and collaboration.
17. Build positive relationships with children, families, and community members to promote a supportive network for orphaned children.
Qualification:
- Minimum high school (+2) diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in social work, child development or related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with children, particularly in residential care setting, is desirable.
- Knowledge of child development principles, trauma-informed care, and best practices in child welfare.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse children, families and professionals.
- Compassion, patience, and empathy for the unique needs and experiences of orphaned children.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and willingness to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications for record-keeping and communication.
- Knowledge in report writing is plus point.
- Two wheeler valid license holders is an asset.
