VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

It works with a vision of ‘a just and prosperous society’.

KIRDARC Nepal is implementing “USAID: Equity and Inclusion in Education Activity”, in all districts of Karnali Province with technical support from Plan International and funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Therefore, KIRDARC Nepal is expecting job applications from suitable, qualified, dynamic, and motivated candidates to fill the vacant positions as mentioned below.

Position Description: Local Government Equity and Inclusion (LGEI) Coordinator 2 Person (Dailekh and Rukum-West each)

Academic Qualification and Experience: Master’s Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Development Studies, Gender & Development, or any relevant field. Minimum 3 years of experience in project/program management in similar roles of authority, preferably education projects in Nepal.

Key Skills and Knowledge required:-

Sound knowledge on disbursement- linked indicators (DLIs), ability to support to local government to develop and implement the equity- and inclusion-related activities, proven experience working on Education Management Information System (EMIS), 

In depth understanding about the Nepal government’s provincial priority program in education and related policies and plans. Profound analytical, strategic thinking, coordination, and negotiation skills; problem-solving and relationship-building skills; ability to build positive and trustworthy relationships for influencing People management and team-building skills Experience in managing time and resource constraints.

Position Description: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, 2 Person (Based in Jajarkot, and Jumla each)

Academic Qualification and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Development Studies, Gender & Development, Management, Statistics, or any relevant field with a minimum of 5 years of experience; Master’s Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Development Studies, Gender & Development, Management, Statistics, or any relevant field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in project or program management in similar roles of authority, preferably education projects in Nepal. Effective result tracking and reporting require meticulous recording and monitoring of target group information, generating detailed monitoring and MEAL reports, and implementing corrective actions based on findings. This process also involves updating the system and compiling a comprehensive project database that includes all relevant documents and reports.

Key Skills and Knowledge required:- In-depth understanding on MEAL concept, sound knowledge on participatory monitoring tools and techniques. Ground experience in the recent practice of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning. Having sound knowledge of protection  key national priority indicators on relevant topics knowledge on data collection and analysis tools; Creative and skilled in report writing; Experience leading trainings and conducting workshops or related events; prior experience in research work; Good communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills;

Position Description: Education Officer (5 Positions)

Locations: Khandachakra Municipality (Kalikot), Aathabis Municipality (Dailekh), Aathbiskot Municipality (Rukum-West), Bheri Municipality (Jajarkot), and Sarada Municipality (Salyan District).

Academic Qualification and Experience: Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Development Studies, Gender & Development, or any relevant field. Bachelors with minimum 5 years and masters with minimum 3 years of working experience as an education-related thematic expert or manager of education-related projects or programs in Nepal

Key Skills and Knowledge required:- Sound understanding on  Equity and Inclusion in education and its policy and guidelines; sound knowledge on accelerated learning framework for OOSY; experience and ability to Integrate UDL/UDA into teacher training and support frameworks; strengthening provincial data systems specifically around EI (OOSC/Y, children with disabilities, teacher, etc.); provincial-level campaigns for school enrollment; teacher training on UDL, SEL and gender-responsive pedagogy (ETC); knowledge about the School Sector Education Plan (SESP) and the role of local government and development partners in implementation Preparation of training manuals, guidelines, strategies, etc. analytical, strategic thinking, and negotiating skills; Strong communication, coordination, and negotiation skills; problem-solving and relationship-building skills; people management and team-building skills.

Position Description: Community Engagement Supervisor (20 Positions)

Location: 7 Districts of Karnali Province

  1. Mugu: 2 (Soru and Mugum RM)
  2. Jumla: 3 (Patarasi, Kanakasundari, and Gudhichaur RM)
  3. Dailekh: 5 (Narayan, Thantikandh, Gurans, Naumule, and Mahabai Municipals)
  4. Surkhet: 2 (Simta and Panchapuri RM)
  5. Salyan: 5 (Kalimati, Siddhak Kumakh, Bangad Kupende, Chhatreshwori, and Sharada Municipals)
  6. Rukum-West: 2 (Aathabiskot Municipality and Sanibheri RM)
  7. Dolpa: 1 (Kaike and Dolpo Buddha RM)

Academic Qualification and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or Development Studies with a minimum of 2 years of experience; or +2 with a major in English, Education, Arts, Management, etc., with at least 4 years of experience. Candidates residing in the respective municipalities and from inclusive groups will be given preference in the recruitment process.

Key Skills and Knowledge required:- Knowledge on education program and related policies, plans, (international, national and local), Basic knowledge of project management, Understanding about the Nepal government’s provincial priority program in education, inclusion, and related policies and plans etc.
