It works with a vision of ‘a just and prosperous society’.

KIRDARC Nepal is implementing the “Integrated Protection and Community Engagement” and “Integrated Nutrition and Livelihoods” Program in Jumla district in partnership with World Vision International Nepal. Therefore, KIRDARC Nepal is expecting the job applications from suitable qualified, dynamic and motivated candidates to fulfill the vacant position of Field Program Manager based in, Jumla district.

Position Description: Program Officer-Livelihood, 1 Person (Based at district headquarter of Jumla)

Academic Qualification and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science or a relevant discipline, with three to five years of experience in related projects, particularly in market-led agriculture and local value chain development.

Key Skills and Knowledge required: - In-depth knowledge of market dynamics, market systems, and business development policies related to local economic development, with a focus on value chain enhancement. Experienced in local value chain development processes and conducting situational analyses of local producers and market opportunities. Well-versed in government policies, program priorities, and sector-specific issues, as well as economic development approaches and the theory of change.

Comprehensive understanding of the WVIN Nutrition & Resilience Livelihood Sector Technical Program and its priorities, including Project Model Agriculture (CSA, Agri Dev.), Natural Resource Management (FMNR, CBDRM), Market Development (LVCD), Alternative Livelihoods (TVET, SYIB, BF), Financial Inclusion (S4T, Coops), and Early Warning Systems (EWV). Familiar with the four pillars of the UPG project model: Social Protection, Livelihood Promotion, Financial Inclusion, and Social Empowerment.

Position Description: Field Officer-Livelihood, 1 Person (Based at district headquarter of Jumla)

Academic Qualification and Experience: Bachelor degree in Agriculture Science or relevant discipline with one to two year of experience in related project (preferably Ultra Poor Graduation Model for UGP & Market led agriculture for BSL)

Key Skills and Knowledge required:- Have a good Knowledge on Ultra-Poor Graduation project model, Promote and support Savings for Transformation (S4T) in the community, Facilitate & support for economic empowerment of most vulnerable especially women. Contribute to evidence building for livelihoods and Knowledge on project model especially on Agriculture (CA, Agri Dev. NSA), NRM and DRR (FMNR, CBDRM), Market Development (LVCD), Alternative livelihood (TVET, SYIB, and BF)

Technical knowledge and experience on relevant sector- data and information management- Proven project management and social mobilization Experience in Diverse team management to yield quality results within the stipulated time period- Presentation skill to highlight on the areas of success and failures with qualitative and quantitative Data-Candidate having experience in livelihood sector would be given high priority.
