Village Development and Save the Environment Forum (VDSEF) Nepal is a non-profit organization working in Kalikot district for more than 24 years in the fields of child rights, health and nutrition, climate change, poverty reduction, and protecting and promoting the economic, social, and Cultural rights of marginalized and disadvantaged communities. VDSEF Nepal aims has aim to promote peace, stability, and sustainable development in Kalikot district. VDSEF Nepal has previous working experience collaborating with different civil society organizations (CSOs) and government authorities to improve child rights, health and nutrition, climate change, livelihoods, and human rights in marginalized and vulnerable communities, such as women, including single mothers, youths, children, friendly and elderly persons, Dalits, and ethnic minorities.SAHAYATRA-III Project is  been implementing Tilagupha municipality and Subhakalika rural municipality in partnership of Save the Children SAHAYATRA-III Project, the project envisions securing rural vulnerable children’s rights to education, protection, resilience, and sexual and reproductive health, leaving no child behind's Nepal is actively engaged in programs focusing on education, Child rights Governance (CRG)and Child Protection (CP) sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and climate change in Kalikot district. VDSEF Nepal is currently inviting applications from qualified Nepali citizens committed to delivering results for the following positions:

Vacancy Positions

1. Project Manager - 1 Position

Location: Kalikot District, Project Office, Subhakalika Rural Municipal

Summary: This is a key position to lead all activities through the mobilization of the project coordinator and field officer of education, CRG, child protection, SHRH, climate change, and green jobs, as well as the overall project team, to ensure the result of the project under Sahayatra III.

Qualifications: Master's degree in management, social work, development studies, law, human rights, and other relevant subjects with at least 3 years of working experience in project management. Bachelor’s degree in the same subject with 5 years of working experience in project management.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Role Dimensions: This position is key position to lead all activities through mobilization of Project Coordinator and field officer of Education, CRG and Child Protection, SHRH and Climate Change and Green Jobs and overall project team to ensure the result of project under Sahayatra-III 

KEY responsibilities. 

Project planning and budgeting

  • Facilitate and support to conduct and ensure community consultation with key stakeholders and beneficiaries for assessment, planning and designing.
  • Planning and supporting budget implementation and reporting system.
  • Making coordination with district/ Palika stakeholders and local bodies
  • Ensure proper data collection, documentation, and dissemination on Project issues regularly. 
  • Capacity building of project team for the effective project implementation.
  • Preparing Annual and Semi-annual reporting system with SCI standard

Coordination, Collaboration and Networking

  • Coordinate and collaborate with district and regional level government line agencies, stakeholders, beneficiaries, media, other project teams within organization and other service providers in different level.
  • Ensure organizational visibility and sustainability in the district/Palika and community level. 
  • Participate in different networks and forums and coordinate at the community level likeminded organizations for resource maximization. 
  • Maintain good coordination with all district and Local Stakeholders Education, CRG and Child Protection, SHRH and change Climate Change and Green Jobs. 
  • Harmonize, facilitate, and ensure to integrate the project components at community levels. 
  • Bridge the project related information between Save the Children and organization.

Project implementation

  • Lead the project providing support to field staff and ensure the timely conduction of project activities having quality output in district and local level.
  • Support to Project team for making effective work plan of project implementation.  
  • Support to local stakeholders and government and non-government line agencies 
  • Maintain proper database, filing and documentation system and their management in the district office.  
  • Local level advocacy to increase resource allocation to Education, CRG and Child Protection, SHRH and change Climate Change and Green Jobs of Sahayatra III
  • Lead to convene community level project activities as assigned under the program and organizational provisions in project area, schools, and communities.
  • Conduct and facilitate community level project activities with high quality, training, meeting, workshop, seminars etc.  
  • Collect feedback and learning from stakeholders and other concern agencies for the program.
  • Provides day-to-day supervision of staff and works collaboratively with other POs and PCs

Project review and monitoring

  • Frequently visit the project areas for supervision and monitoring the field level activities 
  • Support to conduct surveys, internal and external evaluations of all programs.
  • Support for preparation and submit event wise reports to ED/Board of Organization and Save the children. 
  • Monitor the regular activities of all programs by supporting to Dos and Field officer.
  • Ensure for the involvement of community to review program among the stakeholders and beneficiaries. 
  • Participate in the project review meeting with project team to review planned activities of that month along with challenges faced and lesson learned monthly. 
  • Support to conduct social audit and public hearing.

Project reporting and documentation

  • Prepared monthly project tracking and quarterly, semi-annually, and annual report and submit to program Manager and save the children and updating the information related to the project. 
  • Support to develop case studies/success story, action photos, learning, and challenges for the program documentation. Submit field monitoring reports to program Manager.
  • Preparation support to submit event reports, data base along with indicator surveys. Undertaken field visits for monitoring and supervision of program personnel. 
  • Share the field visit reports to the line manager with area to be improved and betterment. 
  • Work closely with MEAL& Documentation Coordinator to ensure the project progress is in track and quality set in the project documents are met. 
  • Initiate corrective actions based on the feedback from MEAL & Documentation Coordinator

  • Knowledge and skill on Project Management
  • Report and proposal and case studies writing skill.
  • Presentation, facilitation, and negotiation.
  • Very good skills and knowledge in documentation and reporting in English and Nepali.  
  • Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Stress management skills.
  • Time management and communication skills.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills (team building and teamwork) with key stakeholders at project and district level.

2. Supply Chain Officer - 1 Position

Location:  Kalikot District, Project Office, Subhakalika Rural Municipality

Summary: This position is key position to lead Supply chain activities through mobilization of all project themes of Sahayatra-III

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in management or BBS/BBA and having 3 years’ experience in project management Supply chain and implementation

KEY responsibilities. 

Project planning and budgeting

  • Planning and preparation support of the Final Procurement plan and supply chain
  • Submission of Monthly logistic and stock report to related themes.
  • Ensure quotation process, collection, and supply process.
  • Supporting to Procurement process and Supply Chain with all Financial Compliances 
  • Update administrative and financial guideline with organization and program team about supply and distribution.
  • Ensure support about the warehouse management and security system of materials.
  • Reporting stock out and warehouse release system with all program theme
  • Maintain Asset record and physical verification with Procurement committee and Admin and finance coordinator. 
  • Day to day arrangement of logistic system of official process.

Coordination, Collaboration and Networking

  • Maintain good coordination with Finance/supply chain team of Save the children. 
  • Harmonize, facilitate and ensure to integrate the project components with all financial compliances.
  • Bridge the project related information between Save the Children and organization.

Project implementation

  • Support to distribution of provided materials and support.
  • Maintain proper data and documentation system of logistic items. 
  • Collect feedback and learning from stakeholders and other concern agencies for the program about logistic system.

Project review and monitoring

  • Field visits the project areas for supervision and monitoring the field level activities with logistic and financial compliances.
  • Support to conduct distribution and logistics arrangement. 

Project reporting and documentation

  • Prepared monthly, Semi-annual, and Annual distribution logistic tracking system. 
  • Share the logistic report and area of improved and betterment. 
  • Work closely with MEAL & documentation coordinator to ensure the project progress is in track and quality set in the project documents are met.
  • Initiate corrective actions based on the feedback from MEAL& documentation coordinator and Save the children representative.
