Association of Medical Doctors of Asia-Nepal (AMDA-Nepal) was established in 1989 and was officially registered in the government office as an NGO in 1990. It is a humanitarian, nonprofit-making, non-political, non-sectarian, social organization working with its mission to promote the health and well-being of the underprivileged and marginalized people under the slogan “Better quality of life for better future”. AMDA Nepal is providing curative and preventive health services through its hospitals and projects in different parts of Nepal. AMDA Nepal also established academic health programs focusing to produce middle-level health professionals, offering various diploma level programs. This initiative reflects a commitment to evolving healthcare education and preparing skilled professionals for the future.

The USAID Sustainable HIV Epidemic Control Project will deliver relevant and efficient direct service delivery that is effective in surging, scaling, and sustaining HIV services and systems for long-term epidemic control with focus on filling existing HIV prevention, case finding, and treatment gaps, on building long-term sustainability to attain and maintain epidemic control. 

This project will be implementing HIV prevention, treatment, care, and support services primarily among the female sex workers and their clients, male sex workers and their clients, men having sex with men, transgender people and people living with HIV and their partners and children in four districts of Koshi Province, namely Ilam, Jhapa, Morang and Sunsari, in close coordination with other partners/sub-partners, National networks of KPs/PLHIV and Community Based Organizations (CBOs).

AMDA-Nepal invites online applications for the following positions from qualified Nepalese citizen on/before 10 September 2024 (2081 Bhadra 25) through the link http://amda.org.np/vacancies.html for the anticipated “USAID Sustainable HIV Epidemic Control Project” expected to commence on October 1, 2024 in Koshi province. The anticipated project period is 2 years, to be funded by USAID Nepal.

Position: Chief of Party

Key Responsibilities

• Represent AMDA and lead the project.
• Supervise overall project performance and ensure delivery as agreed.
• Submit project reports to USAID and Project Management Committee to be formed under/by the AMDA executive committee.
• Review and finalize the annual implementation plan, MEL plan, Performance reports, SIMS.
• Advocacy and liaison at the national level.
• Ensure project performance with meeting the standards and compliance.

Duty Station: Kathmandu.

Minimum Qualification:

• Master’s degree in health and/or related profession with seven (7) years’ of experience in advocacy for key populations and PLHIV and direct management of local civil society organization(s). 

Preferences:

• Prior experience implementing PEPFAR supported programs is preferred.

Position: HIV Service Director

Duty Station: Koshi province (Itahari, Sunsari)

Key Responsibilities

• Direct, implement and supervise USAID sustainable HIV epidemic project activities effectively in four districts (Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari and Illam) of Koshi Province.
• Supervise regularly and provide technical assistance to Community and City clinic staff to provide high level qualitative clinical services to the clients.
• Establish effective district and province level coordination and collaboration with key stakeholders including other government agencies, USAID partners, INGOs, NGOs, CBOs, beneficiary groups and all Implementing Agencies.
• Advocacy and liaison at the province level with government and non-government organizations
• Prepare the annual implementation plan, MEL plan, Performance reports, SIMS

Minimum Qualification:

• Master’s degree in public health and/or a clinical health degree five (5) years of experience in clinical HIV treatment or HIV testing service delivery.

Preferences:

• Prior experience of HIV programs.
