Currently Prayas Nepal is implementing different programmes in education, agriculture and infrastructure with support from dZi Foundation aiming to help the rural communities and contribute financially to eliminate barriers to basic needs, fostering opportunities for sustainable livelihoods, and building their capacity to catalyze transformational change. As a partner organization PRAYAS NEPAL has already worked in different sectors to support complementary health, education, and livelihood programs that unlock local opportunities, build more unified communities, and create lasting solutions to complex local challenges.

Background

Currently Prayas Nepal is implementing different programs in education, agriculture and infrastructure. Prayas Nepal with support from dZi Foundation/Nepal is currently implementing a project aiming at helping rural communities in Aiselukharka RM, khotang achieve prosperity by eliminating barriers to basic needs, fostering opportunities for sustainable livelihoods, and building their capacity to catalyze transformational change. The project partners with communities to support complementary health, education, and livelihood programs that unlock local opportunities, build more unified communities, and create lasting solutions to complex local challenges.

1. Position: Program Officer

Reports to: Chair

Supervises: All program and admin/finance officers funded under dZi project

Location: Aiselukharka RM, Khotang

Job Purpose

The Program Officer is responsible for coordinating between the NGO and the funding agency, ensuring timely and quality planning, implementation, and reporting as per the contract. This role involves establishing and maintaining good working relationships with government and non-government organizations in the working areas and bridging between staff and the Board to ensure coherence between project activities and organizational values and priorities. The Program Officer will lead the development of work plans, support the team and management to ensure adherence to contractual deliverables, and build and maintain relationships with local government and communities.

2. Position: Education Officer

Reports to: Program Officer

Supervises: N/A

Coordinates with: All technical officers and admin/finance officer

Location: Aiselukharka RM, Khotang

Job Purpose

Under the direct supervision of the Program Officer, the Education Officer's primary responsibility is to ensure that all planned activities under the Quality Education Program are effectively implemented to improve the quality of education in targeted schools. This role involves maintaining regular contact with school administrators, visiting cluster schools regularly, and ensuring that project activities directly support the overall quality improvement of schools and the educational goals of the partner municipality.

3. Position: Livelihood Officer

Reports to: Program Officer

Supervises: NA / As required

Coordinates with: All technical officers and admin/finance officer

Location: Aiselukharka RM, Khotang

Job Purpose

Under the direct supervision of the Program Officer, the Livelihood Officer is responsible for designing the most suitable Livelihood (Agri) interventions based on the local context and the needs of the target communities. This role involves managing daily operations and monitoring the progress and implementation of these interventions. Frequent visits to project sites are required.
