Panchtara Yuwa Samrakshak Manch (PTYSM) Jajarkot is an NGO dedicated to upholding the rights of marginalized and excluded communities through community empowerment, promoting equality and social justice, livelihood improvement (by vocational skills, agriculture and non-agriculture), improving education, health nutrition status and disaster management in the district focusing women, children, Dalit, Janajati and vulnerable people. The organization has a vision of building a child friendly, uplifting and advanced society based on social justice where people having access and ownership over resources. PTYSM is going to implement a project namely; Strengthening Maternal Neonatal Health Services in partnership with the Local Government and with One Heart Worldwide in Jajarkot district. Recruitment Committee 

1. Position: Program Director- 1 (Based on Khalanga - head office)

Overall responsibilities: The goal of this position is to ensure every program are delivered successfully adding values of the organization. The Program Director is a professional who is responsible for researching, planning, and implementing an organization’s programs. They Program Director is responsible to provide the strategic direction to achieve all targets and priorities aligning with the organizational vision, goal, objectives.  S/He ensure that all of their all employees are performing well and allocated resources are optimum utilized for the best interest of vulnerable people/communities. Also, PD is responsible to outsourcing the necessary resources to achieve those plans and priorities. S/He provides overall programmatic and managerial leadership in the organization to accomplish all plans and programs on time effectively and efficiently.

Program Director responsibilities include:

  • Initiating and setting goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization
  • Planning the programs from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and processes
  • Developing or approving budgets of the operations

Job Specifications (minimum job requirements):

Academic qualification and work experience: 

  • Master’s degree in social science, development or any discipline with 10 years of previous experience in a related field.

Skills and abilities:

  • Proven experience as program director or other managerial position
  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
  • Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics
  • Outstanding knowledge of data analysis, reporting and budgeting
  • Working knowledge of MS office and program management software 
  • A business acumen with a strategic ability
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to function as a self-starter with limited supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English, Nepali and the local languages.
  • Ability to manage a team, good interpersonal skills, and experience working in a multicultural team.
  • Good analytical skills, and experience with program oversight. 
  • Knowledge and experience in program management and data management.
  • Practical experience in facilitation and negotiation skills with government counterparts/ stakeholders at different levels.

2. Position: Project Coordinator- 1 (Based on head office with frequently visit the field)

Overall responsibilities: Project Coordinator leads the overall management of OHW supported MNH projects in the district under the guidance of the Executive Director/Chairperson and in coordination with OHW District Coordinator. This position is responsible to provide overall programmatic and financial management in planning, implementing, and monitoring activities of his/her district.

Job Specifications (minimum job requirements):

Academic qualification and work experience:

  • Master’s degree in Public Health with one year of previous experience in a related field 
  • or Bachelor’s degree in Public Health with four years of previous experience in a related field

Skills and abilities:

  • Understanding of health care delivery systems in the Federal context and activities at different levels especially the municipality and district level.
  • Ability to function as a self-starter with limited supervision.
  • Knowledge and experience using MS Office packages and statistical packages, email and the internet.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English, Nepali and the local languages.
  • Ability to manage a team, good interpersonal skills, and experience working in a multicultural team.
  • Good analytical skills, and experience with program oversight.
  • Knowledge and experience in program management and data management.
  • Practical experience in facilitation and negotiation skills with government counterparts/ stakeholders at different levels.

3. Position: Admin and Finance Officer- 1 (Based on head office with frequently visit the field)

Report to: Project Coordinator

Overall responsibilities: The Admin Finance Officer will be responsible for financial management, office administration and logistics management of the OHW project in the District Project Office.

Job Specifications (minimum job requirements):

Academic qualifications and work experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or equivalent. 
  • Minimum two years of work experience in finance, administration and logistics.

Skills and abilities

  • Experience utilizing computers including knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Office, and Accounting software. 
  • Fluency in English and Nepali language.

4. Position: Field Officer - Clinical - 1 (Based on head office with frequently visit the field)

Report to: Project Coordinator

Overall responsibilities: The Field Officer – Clinical will be responsible to provide technical support to MNH service providers at the facility level and relevant stakeholders in MNH program planning, conducting community awareness-raising activities focusing on MNH, assessment, planning and follow-ups of MNH services at the facility and community level.

Job Specifications (minimum job requirements):

Academic qualifications and work experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or HA with BPH (Female) or Staff Nurse degree with two years’ work experience in the maternal, neonatal, and child health fields
  • Preferred experience in the maternal, neonatal, and child health fields.

Skills and abilities

  • Good experience in working with health service delivery systems. 
  • Completion of SBA training will be an additional advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience in program and community-level training. 
  • Practical experience in facilitation and interaction with government counterpart/local stakeholders at different local health facilities, and ability to deal with various stakeholders
  • Knowledge and experience using MS Office packages and statistical packages, email and the internet.
  • Good verbal and written communication in English, Nepali and the local languages.
  • Good interpersonal skills and experience working in a team in a multicultural environment.
  • Sets high standards for quality of work and consistently achieves project goals.
  • Ability to function as a self-starter with limited supervision.

5. Position: Field Officer - Non-Clinical - 1 (Based on head office with frequently visit the field)

Report to: Project Coordinator

Overall responsibilities: The Field Officer will be responsible to provide technical support to the local level health units in municipalities, MNH service providers at the facility level and relevant stakeholders in MNH program planning and implementation; conduct community awareness raising activities focusing on MNH status assessment, planning and monitoring at the facility and community level.

Job Specifications (minimum job requirements):

Academic qualifications and work experience: 

  • Bachelor degree in Public Health (BPH)/ Bachelor degree in Nursing 
  • Preferred experience in the maternal, neonatal and child health fields.

Skills and abilities

  • Knowledge and experience in program and community-level training.
  • Practical experience in facilitation and interaction with government counterpart/local stakeholders at different local health facilities, and ability to deal with various stakeholders 
  • Knowledge and experience using MS Office packages and statistical packages, email and the internet.
  • Good verbal and written communication in English, Nepali and local languages.
  • Good interpersonal skills and experience working in a team in a multicultural environment.
  • Sets high standards for quality of work and consistently achieves project goals.
