ADRA Nepal invites applications from the qualified candidates for an upcoming USAID- funded Better Health Activity (HSSA) Project in Nepal for the following four positions:
1. Position: Chief of Party (COP)- Nepal USAID Better Health Activity
Station: Kathmandu, Nepal
Job Summary:
ADRA is searching for a Chief of Party (COP) for an upcoming USAID-funded Better Health Activity. This activity will support the three tiers of governments to improve the health system, especially around improved governance, improved demand-side barriers, and accountability of communities in the health system, and improved quality of health care services at the facility and community level. The activity will focus on improving quality of care for maternal, newborns and family planning services, prioritizing marginalized communities. The support will complement the USAID Health Direct Financing Project, improve readiness of health facilities, and prepare the health system for the possible future health emergencies with increased coordination across three tiers of government. The COP will oversee a team of professionals and work closely with the Government of Nepal and the Ministry of Health and Population, local partners, and other relevant stakeholders to strengthen health systems at the municipality, provincial, and federal levels in a sustainable manner and improve overall health service delivery in Nepal. This position is contingent upon donor approval and funding.

2. Position: Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP)- Nepal USAID Better Health Activity (HSSA)
Station: Kathmandu, Nepal
Job Summary:
ADRA is searching for a Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) for an upcoming USAID-funded Health Better Health Activity in Nepal. This activity will support the three tiers of governments to improve the health system, especially around improved governance, improved demand-side barriers and accountability of communities in the health system, and improved quality of health care services at the facility and community level. The activity will focus on improving quality of care for maternal, newborns and family planning services, prioritizing marginalized communities. The support will complement the USAID Health Direct Financing Project, improve readiness of health facilities and prepare the health system for the possible future health emergencies with increased coordination across three tiers of government.
The DCOP will provide overall technical leadership and operational oversight for the project, ensuring the successful implementation of high-impact interventions and alignment with project goals and reporting requirements. In the Chief of Party (COP), the DCOP will assume their responsibilities. This position will be responsible for liaising with and maintaining strong relationships with various actors, such as civil society organizations, consortium partners, and the Government of Nepal. This position is also responsible for engaging with local entities to further USAID’s localization agenda throughout the project period at all levels. The position will be based in Kathmandu and report to the Chief of Party. 3. Position: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Director- Nepal USAID Better Health Activity
Station: Kathmandu, Nepal
Job Summary:
ADRA Nepal is searching for an experienced MEAL Director to join their team and contribute to the anticipated USAID/Nepal Better Health Activity. This activity will support the three tiers of governments to improve the health system, especially around improved governance, improved demand-side barriers and accountability of communities in the health system, and improved quality of health care services at the facility and community level. The activity will focus on improving quality of care for maternal, newborns and family planning services, prioritizing marginalized communities. The support will complement the USAID Health Direct Financing Project, improve readiness of health facilities and prepare the health system for the possible future health emergencies with increased coordination across three tiers of government. The MEAL Director will play a pivotal role in providing strategic guidance, vision, and management for the effective monitoring and evaluation of the program. This position will be supervising the MEAL team ensuring integration of all MEAL activities and fostering collaborative partnerships with sub-awardees and USAID. The MEAL Director will assume responsibility for overseeing, providing technical direction, and supporting all MEAL activities, guaranteeing accurate reporting of results pertaining to program initiatives. Working closely with the program staff, the MEAL Director will be responsible for designing the MEAL Plan and Performance Measurement Plan, developing, and overseeing the MEAL system for monitoring project performance, and tracking progress towards project objectives and expected outcomes. The MEAL Director will also lead routine data collection, analysis, data management, reporting, data quality assurance (DQA) exercises and supervisory visits to enhance monitoring systems and data utilization at project sites. By collaborating closely with project staff, partners, and stakeholders, the MEAL Director will analyze and interpret project data, document, and disseminate lessons learned, best practices, and project deliverables to facilitate continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. The position will be based in Kathmandu and report to the Chief of Party. This position is only open to Nepali nationals. This position is contingent upon donor approval and funding.

4. Position: Director Finance and Administration Director - Nepal USAID Better Health Activity
Station: Kathmandu, Nepal
Job Summary:
ADRA is searching for a Director of Finance and Administration for an upcoming USAID-funded Better Health Activity. This activity will support the three tiers of governments to improve the health system, especially around improved governance, improved demand-side barriers, and accountability of communities in the health system, and improved quality of health care services at the facility and community level. The activity will focus on improving quality of care for maternal, newborns and family planning services, prioritizing marginalized communities. The support will complement the USAID Health Direct Financing Project, improve readiness of health facilities, and prepare the health system for the possible future health emergencies with increased coordination across three tiers of government. The Director of Finance and Administration will oversee all finance and administrative activities under this project in the Nepal office. This includes the oversight of procurement, grants, logistics, human resources, accounting, and finance and records. S/he will be responsible for managing the award budget and preparing financial reports for submission to the donor and the head Office. S/he will ensure funds expended are compliant with USG regulations and policies. S/he will implement fraud mitigation practices and ensure systems and processes are implemented effectively to support implementation of award. The position will work jointly to effectively lead and manage the project’s essential finance and operations systems for budgeting, financial monitoring and reporting, consultants, and sub-award procedures. S/he will provide regular technical support and training to operations and project teams as well as to other partner organizations to help them establish sound, reliable, effective, and efficient financial management systems. S/he will also monitor the grant funds, develop the project’s financial reports, and work in close collaboration with ADRA head office - Finance and Operations staff to ensure top quality procedures and reporting. The position will be based in Kathmandu and report to the Chief of Party. This position is only open to Nepali nationals. This position is contingent upon donor approval and funding.
