About Organization
Consortium for Land Research and Policy Dialogue (COLARP) is a non-profit making research-based organization registered with the government of Nepal under the Company Act 2063. A Project CoordinatorDetailed Job Description
COLARP is seeking young enthusiast who is willing to build their skills in the area of land and natural resources, climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction/ financing. With close coordination with project lead, the incumbent will be fully responsible for project planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting including coordination with concerned offices and stakeholders of the project. S/he should ensure quality and compliance of the project at stipulated time framework of the project including mobilization of project resources to attain desirable project goals and results.
Major responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise to the ongoing projects along with planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the project
- Lead, coordinate and monitor implementation of project activities as per Detail Implementation Plan (DIP) and ensure milestones are reached on time.
- Coordinate, provide technical support and review and monitor for the effective implementation of the project.
- Generate and document evidence of education of best practices and learning of the project and take lead in disseminating learning of the project targeting to stakeholders.
- Mobilize project resource (budget and human resource) to achieve set results as per result framework.
- Ensure annual and total project target achieve in time frame of the project.
- Support project officers to develop new proposals.
- Coordinate with province, local government authorities, consultants, and other non-governmental organizations to create collaborative efforts through regular meetings, interactions, and initiating joint monitoring visits.
- Planning and organizing outreach events at federal, provincial, and local level.
- Ensure accountability towards government authorities by sharing project target, budget, progress as well as delivery approaches.
- With support of MERL Officer, generate and compile the project data and ensure quality periodic report as per need and submit to funding partner within stipulated time.
- Represent the organization at different forums, platforms, networks, and consultants and ensure meaningful participation.
- Understand project’s theory of change, log frame, monitoring framework etc. and share with the team.
- Other duties as per need assigned by Project Lead
Qualification and required skills:
Master's degree in development studies, Rural Development, Sociology, and other relevant field with at least three years’ experience in CCA/DRR sector. The candidate must have a valid motorbike/scooter license and should be willing to travel to project location as per need.
B Research Officer
Details Job Description/ Requirements
COLARP is providing an opportunity to the young enthusiast who is willing to build their skills in the area of land and natural resources, climate change and disaster risk reduction, gender equality, disability, and social inclusion (GEDSI). The research officer, under Project Coordinator, will be directly involved in the ongoing assignments of COLARP.
Major responsibilities:
- Assist to develop concept notes and new research proposal on thematic areas of COLARP.
- Contribute to prepare draft report, policy brief, and publications of ongoing projects. Preparation of regular meetings, workshops, and seminars. Provide the technical support in implementation of research projects.
Required Skills
- Interested in research and learning in the field of GEDSI, land and natural resources and climate change, disaster risk reduction, and management.
- Fluent in English writing, reading, and speaking.Have good computer skills in Microsoft Office Packages such as MS Word, MS Excel, etc. (SPSS skills will be an advantage)Be well-organized, proactive, open-minded, highly responsible, and supportive.
- Driving scooter/motorbike will be an advantage.
Education: Master running or fresher’s (Development Studies, Community Development, Gender Studies, Human and Natural Resource Management, and other relevant programs)
C Finance TraineeJob Description
COLARP is providing an opportunity to the young person who is willing to build their career in finance sector at I/NGOs. The finance trainee will work directly under the Finance Coordinator of COLARP.
Major Job Description
- Prepare necessary documents for monthly payroll of staffs of the company.
- Managing petty cash transactions, stationeries, and inventories.
- Keep record of leave, attendance of staffs.
- Ensure store management, inventory register and fixed assets.
- Maintaining files and records.
- Periodic reporting to the Finance Coordinator.
- Other tasks as directed by the line manager.
Job Specification
- Must have good computer skills (words, excel, Tally)
- Must have good Communication, Interpersonal Skills
- Driving scooter/motorbike will be an advantage.
Min. Qualification:
BBS (Course completion will be preferred)
