SO Nepal is a non-profit nongovernmental organization working in Nepal for the protection of vulnerable children providing temporary shelter and reintegrating them with family/community where possible. SO Nepal requires the following personnel to be recruited urgently for its transit home/child care home located in Shivapuri, Nuwakot.

Position- Psychosocial Counsellor (1), part-time

• The incumbent is responsible for providing emotional and psychosocial counselling to the children we serve.
• Home visits for counselling children and parents/family as and when required.
• School visit for counselling as and when required
• Shall assess/monitor the psychosocial well-being of children and staff associated.
• Case management and reporting 
• Facilitating skills for psychosocial counselling training, peer education and life skill training 
• Any other relevant work assigned by the organisation.

Eligibility

• Completion of a minimum of 6 months of Psychosocial Counselling training from CTEVT-affiliated institutions or a bachelor's degree in psychology. Postgraduate or master's degree in counselling psychology is highly preferred.
• 3+ years relevant experience 

Position- Tuition Teacher (1), part-time

• The incumbent is responsible for providing tuition classes to the children from classes 5 to 10 for all subjects with a special focus on English, Math and Science.
• Shall provide tuition before or after school 6 days a week

Eligibility

• Completion of a minimum of 12 classes with science 
• Fluency in English.
• Candidate from English background preferred 

Position- Extra Curricular Activity In-Charge (1), part-time

• The incumbent is responsible for developing the plan and conducting extracurricular activities for children. 
• Knowledge of indoor/outdoor sports, music, literature, dance etc.

Position- Health In-Charge (1), part-time

• The incumbent is responsible for providing basic health services/counselling to the children 
• Develop a health checklist as per gender and age/Body mass index(BMI)
• Monitor the personnel hygiene and raise awareness 
• Management of health-related data and report
• Providing first aid training to staff 

Eligibility

• Completion of CMA, ANM, HA, Diploma in Nursing or above
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience 

All the candidates for the above positions are required to abide by the child protection policy of the organization. Candidate for all above positions requires two wheeler driving licence and time flexibility. Salary will be commensurate as per the SO Nepal policy.
