Forum for Rural Women Ardency Development (FORWARD) was established in May 1995 and managed by compatible and committed women professional groups, works for backward vulnerable, indigenous people, and communities on right based programs for sustainably empowering them. FORWARD developed trust among its supporters through participation and partnership approach of cooperation of ideas, collective views to a significant role in poverty alleviation, and obligation to help against poverty through microfinance, social development, and institutional development program. FORWARD raised their voices against the domestic violence of women, children, and vulnerable communities through mass awareness and advocacy programs. FORWARD hereby invites applications from experienced and qualified Nepalese professional citizens for the following positions for anticipated projects with supporting agencies:

Details of Announcement:

1.     Aquaculture Field Facilitator (AFF) – Proposed 12 positions 

The Aquaculture Field Facilitator will play a crucial role in facilitating the formation and development of fish farmer groups, supporting capacity building activities related to fish farming, hatchery and nursery operation, production, and marketing. The Aquaculture Field Facilitator (AFF) will be responsible for group mobilization, working in close collaboration with the aquaculture field coordinator, and reporting to the field Aquaculture Coordinator.

Jhapa: Arjundhara Municipality, Gauradaha Municipality, Birtamod Municipality

Morang: Rangeli Municipality,  Katahari Rural Municipality,  Dhanapalthan Rural Municipality

Sunsari: Ramdhuni Municipality, Inaruwa Municipality

Minimum educational requirement: +2 pass / Diploma in Fishery/Veterinary Technician/Agriculture/Agri business/Aquaculture business.

2.         Aquaculture Field Coordinator (AFC) – Proposed 03 positions

The Aquaculture Field Coordinator (AFC) will play a key role in establishing and strengthening fish farmer groups, leading capacity-building initiatives, and promoting best aquaculture practices. The AFC will collaborate closely with fish hatcheries, nurseries, feed millers, processors, feed dealers, sub-dealers, government officials, aquaculture/fisheries associations, research institutes, universities, and farmer leaders. Additionally, the AFC will provide direct support to Aquaculture Field Facilitators and report to the Aquaculture project Manager.

Location: Sunsari, Morang, and Jhapa (Multiple Municipalities)

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Fishery, Agriculture, or a related field.

3.        Admin Finance Officer – 1 (One)

This position is responsible for the financial management, office administration and logistics management of the FORWARD office, Duhabi-2, Sunsari.

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in business administration/studies (BBA/S), or equivalent having minimum 2 years of work experience in finance, administration and logistics.

Duty Station: FORWARD head office with 30% field visit 

  • Ensure proper registration and filing of all official documents and correspondence.
  • Support the organization of program activities, training sessions, and meetings.
  • Procure stationery and supplies in compliance with the procurement policy.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, transportation, accommodations, and other logistical needs.
  • Maintain the official vehicle logbook, ensuring timely servicing and maintenance.
  • Compile and submit monthly records for attendance, travel, and leave.
  • Process monthly payroll, ensure salaries are deposited into staff bank accounts, and contribute to SSF/CIT/PF accounts.
  • Prepare tax reports for employees, vendors, and contractors, ensuring tax payments are made on time.
  • Maintain personnel records for project staff in accordance with company policies.
  • Track and document supplies and equipment received.
  • Update and maintain inventory records, conducting physical checks when necessary.
  • Advise sub-committees on financial procedures and gather documents for advance settlements.
  • Review and process invoices and bills, ensuring all payments are accurately recorded in accounting software.
  • verify expenses remain within budget and ensure payment documentation is complete.
  • Regularly review bills and payment documents to ensure proper record-keeping.
  • Assist the supervisor with monthly fund forecasting and request processing.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including reconciliations.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and prepare statements for outstanding advances.
  • Manage petty cash in accordance with company policies.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Required Skills

Education: Master Degree and related filed with 5-years’ experience on technical and vocational educations sectors in Nepal as college principal.

  • Good understanding of current Nepalese education system to bring out desired result.

Leadership skills: have the ability to lead, motivate, instruct, correct, control staff/teachers

Management skills: bring human resources and material to bear upon the task in effective (goal oriented) and efficient (least costly) manners

Interpersonal skills: communicate clearly and openly with teachers, students, SMC, government agencies, donors, hostel parents and other concerned parties/agencies; able to work well in a team

Computers Skills: Microsoft Word and basic knowledge of computer use

Attitude: High interest in learning and willing to use a variety of teaching method.

Language: Fluent in English and Nepali language (both written and spoken)
