Working for Access and Creation Nepal (WAC-Nepal) is nonprofit, non-government and nonpolitical humanitarian development organization has been implementing “Women in Climate Resilient Agri-Systems for Enhanced Nutrition Security” for the Contribution to foster climate-resilient local food systems and empowering women in the partnership with Welthungerhilfe (WHH). The project is being implemented in 4 wards in Chaurpati RM (Ward Numbers 4, 5, 6, 7) of the Achham district. WAC- Nepal is seeking qualified, dynamic and motivated Nepali citizens on the following positions for smooth implementation of the project. 

Position: Program Officer (Agriculture) 1 Person (Based on Sanfebagar)

Minimum Qualification and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in agriculture science with minimum of 3 years of work experience in implementing and managing multiple projects with diverse team or masters’ degree in the relevant field preferred with proven ability to manage climate resilient Agri system and nutrition security in the mountain areas. Proven ability to MEAL, promotion of food and food processing related enterprises, coordination and collaboration with local government and related stakeholders to implement the project. 

Major Responsibility: 

  • Planning, implementation, reporting and impact-oriented monitoring of the project 
  • Ensuring funds are utilizing according to the approved project planning matrix and budget. 
  • Prepare monthly narrative reports, quarterly narrative progress reports, annual narrative reports, and final narrative and financial report for the project. 
  • Solid Projects Quality and Technical Management (MEAL data/information,
  • Community empowerment and engagements at different level for sustainability
  • Evidence of Programs Impact or Result collection/compilation to be shared at/for wider platform and Strong Relationship and Partnership Management. 
  • Support to form, capacitate, strengthen and mobilize farmers groups for climate resilient nutrition security and sustainable integrated farming systems (SIFS) through farmer field schools 
  • Conduct PRA to understand the key production hinderances and the community needs.
  • Establish Demonstration plots for onsite learning in the FFS
  • support the implementation of LANN+PLA sessions in the farmers groups to train communities in the consumption of nutritious foods, which will facilitate dietary diversity and combat malnutrition.
  • Support to reduce women workload through innovative, women-friendly farm tools and off farm equipment/tools, supporting local craft and establishing an incubation lab geared towards proposing innovative solutions. 
  • Promotion for community-led vegetable production, food and food processing related enterprises, marketing and market literacy. 
  • Conduct food insecurity assessment to identify vulnerable areas and populations within the project area. 
  • Conduct advocacy for climate-resilient agriculture and nutrition governance in line with relevant national government policies. 
  • support to formulate climate resilient agriculture strategy and local agriculture adaptation plans (in line with LAPA) of the municipality. 
  • strengthening local governments by improving their water resource management plans and promoting crop diversification for sustainable community development. 
  • Collaborating with local government on market-driven value chain growth
  • Conduct project related coordination, linkage and advocacy.

Position: Admin and Finance Officer 1 Person (Based on Sanfebagar)

Minimum Qualification and experience: Bachelor Degree of Commerce, Business Studies or Equivalent master’s degree in Finance/Accounting or Equivalent, preferred, Minimum 3 years of experience in independently handling budgeting, financial accounting, planning and analysis in I/NGO. Demonstrated experience in the use of MS office Package (Word/Excel/PowerPoint etc.) & Internet, Ability to lead financial management of the project/program and make the linkage of this with overall financial management of the organization

Major Responsibility: 

  • Prepare (Master Budget) annual budget and prepare revision budget as required,
  • Ensure proper cash management to run field level activities and day to day operations.
  • Ensure compliance of local laws, donor requirements and internal control mechanism.
  • Timely payments of vendor’s bills and settlement of advance, liabilities and receivables etc and reconcile periodically, 
  • Maintain and disbursement of petty cash, 
  • BRS preparation, Tax detail preparation, 
  • Admin and Financial Management along with supply chain of the Project/Program – 40%, Budgeting and Reporting – 30%, Financial Monitoring – 20% and Compliance and Others – 10%. Managing Purchasing Requisition, Executing and Solicitation of Sourcing Methods and Implement Strategic Sourcing, 
  • Contract management, general office administration and logistics and procurement management, 
  • Payment/Invoice Processing, Risk Management, Compliance and Review, Reporting and Analysis.
