Human Resources Centre (HRC) Bajurais a non-government, nonprofit making social development organization established on 2059 B.S. Bajura and working in different district of Sudurpaschim province. The organization has been working on integrated community development, need-based action orientated and multi-disciplinary areas through social mobilization especially focusing on human resources capacity development, human rights, livelihood- nutrition, micro enterprise, infrastructure, climate change adaptation, quality education, health & rehabilitation, advocacy, empowerment, disaster management. 

HRC Bajura has been implementing project "Ensure equal access to education and opportunities for children and young people from remote communities'' in Bajura District partnership with the Terre des homes since 2024. HRC, Bajura invites application from qualified, result oriented and highly motivated Nepalese candidates for the following position. 

Position: Project Coordinator-1 One/ vacancy No. 01/081/082

Appointment Type: Full Time 

Duty Station: Head Office 75% and frequently travel to project sites-25%.

Salary and Benefits: As per the organization's norm commensurate with the project agreement

Purpose of Position:

Project Coordinator will be responsible for overall project planning, Budgeting, implementation; monitoring and reporting of project components in close coordination with partner organization and Executive Director. S/he will work closely with project staff. More specifically, s/he will be responsible for following task;

Major roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Program planning, budgeting and implementation of project interventions and strategies/ approaches.
  • Provide direction to the program; take lead for coordination and communication with community, municipalities, rural municipalities, district line agencies and government stakeholders.
  • Establish strong coordination and linkage with municipality and likeminded organizations, CSOs and CBO and local communities.
  • Ensure on timely Program implementation, monitoring and prepare periodic reports; and ensure the timely submission of narrative and financial report.
  • Closely work with Partner &HRC team to ensure the timely implementation of Program activities.
  • Develop monthly action plan, M&E plan and budget; collect all necessary data, case studies, photos and others as required from the field.
  • Develop relationship with local government, stakeholders and other line agencies.
  • Orient and support new staff and partners to MEAL requirements of their projects
  • Conduct periodic reviews of project performance and assist in develop action plans on identified gaps.
  • Assist in organizing workshops, seminars, and training and associated documentation.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Masters in any discipline & progressively Coordinator level professional three (3) years of work experience) experience in quality education & Livelihood sector in reported I/NGOs/ Project
  • Minimum three years of working experience in project management with a particular focus on Activity Based Learning (ABL), child-friendly education, Inclusive Education, Education in Emergency (EiE), School Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), ECD, and systems to support effective programming.
  • Experience in livelihood, Income generation program development, planning, implementation, management, and coordination with local government, MSMEs, commodity associations and development partners
  • Well familiar with the locality, culture, traditions and communities of Bajura districts
  • Strong skills in coordination, networking and communication with government and concerned stakeholders.
  • Strong report writing and communication skills in English language,
  • Strong skills in MS office (word, excel and power point, email internet). 
  • Familiar with rural communities, local language, and culture
  • Able to frequently travel in field sites.
  • Good sense of humor and a team player.
  • Having a two-wheeler driving license.

Livelihood Improvement Officer-1 One/ vacancy No. 02/081/082

Appointment Type:  Full Time 

Duty Station: Field office, Bajura.

Purpose of Position:

Under the direct supervision of the HRC Executive Director (ED), Project Coordinator the Livelihood Improvement officer will be responsible for overall lead for actions under HRC and project office, track the project results with coordination and collaboration of partner organization TDH/Germany and concerned stakeholders’ i.e., local government and like-minded organizations. This position is also directly involved in the facilitation, efficient, and timely implementation of the project activities according to the detailed implementation guidelines budget planning, and team mobilization. S/he will ensure the success of a project as per the project’s log-frame and contribute to the further development of the program

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective and efficient planning and implementation of the activities under the project objectives, results, indicators and output within the approved time frame of the project documents, budget and work plan.
  • Ensure that the project objectives and targets are achieved in a timely manner and that activities are carried out according to standard 
  • Farmers, youths, women and entrepreneurs strengthen their individual and collective capacities to develop enterprise/business and sustainable livelihood protecting environment and contribution to improve livelihood, well-being and health. 
  • Coordination between local actors and stakeholders is improved and contributes to safe practices in climate smart farming system.
  • Sustainable development or promotion of endogenous crops and related to enterprise/business.
  • Responsible for result-based program and budget monitoring with regular field visits and support to social mobilizer in field intervention.
  • Communication and coordination with relevant stakeholders, government authorities and donor agencies for better implementation of the project intervention. 
  • Maintain relationships with the project participants, local, district, and provincial government authorities, and other relevant stakeholders ensuring that transparency at all levels is maintained and project information communicated to relevant stakeholders in a timely fashion
  • Understand that the specific knowledge and skills to get the work done and to deliver organizational outcomes are collaboratively supported when required between different thematic areas and projects. 
  • Support the management team for updating and implementing the resource generation and mobilization plan.
  • Attend the relevant workshop, training, and meeting and express the organizational view
  • Prepare annual, quarterly, and monthly plans and Standard Operational Procedures for the execution of the project activities in accordance with the project's logical framework. 
  • Responsible for periodic reporting (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual) of both programmatic and financial in a quality and timely manner to the coordination Executive Director/project coordinator 
  • Contribute to developing guidelines, business plan, templates, training, and support to project members involved in data collection, and ensure the monitoring tools are operated correctly. 
  • Prepare baseline and update the data base of enterprises.
  • Assessment and selection of sub-partners (service providers).  For offsite training.
  • Compile data related to project output and outcome indicators and collect and compile required data.
  • Compile relevant sections of monthly, quarterly and annual progress data, and prepare the report.
  • Any other tasks as per requirements and delegation of project coordinator. 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (3 years in experience) preferably in Agriculture Science, Forest Science, Management or with proven experience in grant management, enterprise establishment, business planning and development, market development and mobilization of MSMEs.
  • Experience in livelihood, Income generation program development, planning, implementation, management, and coordination with local government, MSMEs, commodity associations and development partners
  • Well familiar with the locality, culture, traditions and communities of Bajura districts
  • Proven knowledge and skills for teams building and mobilization
  • Strong willingness to work with diverse communities, including women groups, youth group's farmers' groups, and less advantaged /marginalized communities.
  • Well experience and familiar in Skill development training, skill test and entrepreneurship development.
  • Excellent communication, reporting and documentation skills in English at a professional level

Education Development officer-1 one- Vacancy No. 03/081/082

Appointment Type:  Full Time 

Duty Station: Field Base.

Purpose of Position:

Education development officer will be responsible for project planning, budgeting, implementation; monitoring and reporting of project's education components in close coordination with the organization, Executive Director, Project Coordinator and other project staffs. S/he will work closely with project staff. S/he will closely monitor all target schools and children/students. S/he will also contribute to the capacity building of the project team and target groups. More specifically, s/he will be responsible for following task;

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the supervisor to provide necessary support in designing, implementing, and documenting all interventions under education component of the project in close coordination with HRC, TDH/Germany.
  • Support supervisor in preparation of annual and quarterly implementation plan and budget as well as prepare a detailed implementation plan.
  • Provide support in designing education interventions and in implementation of approved annual/quarterly/ monthly work/activity plans within approved scope, budget, and timeline ensuring technical quality as well.
  • Provide support in liaising, facilitating and coordinating key stakeholders, including municipal authorities, head teachers, teachers, and administration authorizes, SMC/PTA for planning, implementing, documenting and communicating education interventions. 
  • Provide support in activities implementing, carrying out regular monitoring and follow ups of education related activities being implemented in the project to ascertain progress against plans, budget and identify challenges, lessons learnt and emerging need to support redesigning of interventions.
  • Assist in generation of evidence-based data, information/learning on the outcomes of the project on target children’s learning and wellbeing with technical support from HRC and executive.
  • Work closely with TDH/Germany teams to provide necessary details for initiating admin related requests including procurement requests for events, goods and services, settling expenses related to activities.
  • Compile data related to project output and outcome indicators and collect and compile required data.
  • Compile relevant sections of monthly, quarterly and annual progress data, and prepare the report.
  • Any other tasks as per requirements and delegation of project coordinator. 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education with minimum three years of working experience in education sectors specially in Early Childhood Development (ECD), child-friendly teaching-learning and quality education and model school.
  • Three years of working experience in project management with a particular focus on Activity Based Learning (ABL), child-friendly education, Inclusive Education, Education in Emergency (EiE), School Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), ECD, and systems to support effective programming.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of government education policies, programmes, priorities and issues related to school education and model school in Nepal.
  • Strong experience in project management including planning, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, partner management and developing proposals.
  • Excellent communication skills both in Nepali and English language, both written and verbal.
  • Having a two-wheeler driving license.
