Cultivating Change in a Warming World’ project is funded by Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) and managed by the country partner Oxfam Nepal. It will be implemented in Kanchanpur and Doti districts from Sudurpaschim and Dailekh district from Karnali province. It aims to increase resilience, food, nutrition and income security of rural women and their communities, and with their allies, and movement, have the power to transform the systems of inequality and rights and abuses that are causing hunger and climate and ecological breakdown.

Green Evolution: Pathways to Food System Transformation’ project is funded by the Welthungerhilfe (WHH) and the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It is a regional project being implemented in Nepal, India and Bangladesh. In Nepal it is implemented in Surkhet; Dailekh and Jumla covering five municipalities.  The project aims to support the implementation of national pathways towards equitable, responsible and sustainable food systems and is expected to strengthen the local agroecological systems through improved policy frameworks, operational structures and multi stakeholder cooperation at all levels.

1. Agri Business Coordinator (Level 8)-1, Cultivating Change Project, based at LI-BIRD Site Office Dhangadhi)

Job Summary: Reporting to Team Leader, the Agribusiness Coordinator (AC) is primarily responsible for leading the field implementation of the project - providing overall leadership and management of the project in the Sudurpaschim Province. Agribusiness Coordinator’s key duties include organizing capacity building training and awareness events on farmers seed enterprises, agroecological approaches, climate change adaptation and mitigation; ensuring diversification and sustainability of the farmers field school (FFS), farmer seed enterprises; support on strengthening local seed systems and agrobiodiversity; building strong relationships and partnerships with the local and provincial government agencies, Civil Society Organizations, media and private sector stakeholders for leveraging resources and building synergies in the project implementation.  

Education and Experience: Master's in agriculture with a major in agri-economics, agri-business, or other relevant subjects with three years of work experience in agri-business management and agricultural value chain projects or similar positions.

2) Advocacy and Documentation Officer (Level 7) -1 (Women only vacancy, based at LI-BIRD Programme Coordination Office, Lalitpur)

Job Summary: Reporting to the Programme Development Director (PDD), the Advocacy and Documentation Officer (ADO) will support in implementation of the activities under the Himalayan Agroecology Initiative (HAI) project that include policy reviews, stakeholder mapping and analysis, consultation workshops, key informant interviews (KII), contributing for drafting and translating National Agroecology Roadmap. ADO’s key duties include coordination with different government agencies and CSOs for agroecology roadmap development and setting a foundation for creating a knowledge hub on agroecology as a Community of Practice (CoP), writing policy briefs, documenting good practices and evidence generated by LI-BIRD’s agroecology themed projects, sharing learnings and good practices through trainings, workshop, articles and social media contents. She shall also be engaged in advocacy, data management, writing and reviewing reports and articles. ADO is required to work with the local, provincial and federal government and likeminded I/NGOs for building synergies and forging partnership for joint advocacy on areas of common interest and promote good practices and innovations generated by LI-BIRD's programmes and projects.

Education and Experience: Master's degree in agriculture, natural resource management, environmental science or relevant preferably with two years of relevant work experience in agriculture related research and advocacy sector. 3. Project Officer (Level 6) - 2 (Green Evolution Project, one each based at LI-BIRD site office Jumla and Dailekh respectively)

Job Summary: Reporting to Senior Programme Officer (SPO), the Project Officer’s key duties include field activities planning, implementation, data management and report writing. In addition, the Project Officer is required to provide technical support to the local partner organization and should ensure the project is being implemented as per the project’s overall goal, objectives and outcomes. Further, the Project Officer is required to coordinate with the local government and other key stakeholders for effective project implementation, building synergies, resource leveraging and scaling up of potential innovations.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in agriculture or other relevant subjects with 2 years of relevant experience in implementing projects in agriculture and livelihood sectors. Candidates with a valid motorbike/scooter license and work experience in the implementation and reporting of projects are encouraged to apply.

4) Admin Assistant (Level 3) -1, (Women only vacancy, based at LI-BIRD Head Office, Pokhara) 

Job Summary: Reporting to the Admin and HR Manager, the Administrative Assistant will undertake all receptionist and clerical duties at the desk of LI-BIRD Head Office. The Administrative Assistant needs to deal with a variety of visitors and handle the information accurately and efficiently while respecting a customer-oriented approach. She needs to contribute for the effective implementation of administrative functions including general administrative support and human resource management.   

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in management with 1 year of relevant work experience or 10+2 in management with three years' work experience.

5) Logistic and Procurement Assistant (Level 2) -1 (Women only vacancy, based at LI-BIRD Head Office, Pokhara)

Job Summary: Reporting to the Procurement Officer, the Logistic and Procurement Assistant will provide support on logistics and procurement throughout the organization. She will also provide support in asset management. She shall work in close consultation with Admin and Finance Staff spread across the Head Office, Programme Coordination Office and different Site Offices for effective logistic and procurement functions.

Education and Experience: 10+2 in management with two years' relevant work experience in procurement, logistics and administration. Fresh Bachelor graduates in management are also encouraged to apply.
