Multipurpose Development Society (MPDS) is a Nepali non-governmental, not-for-profit, social development organization, committed to driving positive change and empowerment in Nepal’s rural communities. The organization's vision is to envision a healthy, beautiful, peaceful, disciplined, self-reliant, exemplary, and dynamic society with gender equality.  MPDS has been working with the poor and marginalized people in Sudurpaschim province to empower them for the past 27 years.

MPDS is a sub-recipient of the Global Fund. It is going to implement the HIV Prevention Program for migrants and their spouses in Baitadi, Bajhang, Dadeldhura, Doti and Achham district in Sudurpaschim Province and Dailekh, Surkhet and Rukum (W) in Karnali Province of Nepal from April 2025 in partnership with United Nations Development Program (UNDP). In order to implement the project, MPDS announces a vacancy for the following positions.

1. Position: Project Coordinator

Duty Station: Surkhet

Required Number: 1

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree in public health/health/social science or development studies or equivalent with at least 3 years working experience in HIV program. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Have good knowledge and skill to develop various plans and implement activities accordingly.
  • Able to lead project team and guide them to implement district level and field level services. 
  • Knowledge of NHSP 2021-2026 and health recording and reporting system.
  • Proven experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and coordination within multi-districts health offices and other government and non-government organizations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good and strong skills and knowledge in leadership, facilitation, and reporting writing.
  • Good computer skills and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work in the community of Karnali province.

2. Position: M&E Officer

Duty Station: Dadeldhura and Surkhet

Required Number: 2 (1 in each district)

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health, Population, Social Science or equivalent with at least 3 years’ working experience in HIV Program or relevant program or sector.
  • Knowledge of Logical Framework, Quantitative and qualitative data collection methods.
  • Knowledge of health information system (DHIS2, ONHIS, HMIS).
  • Good skills in monitoring, supervision and evaluation system and its tools.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and interpretation using SPSS and Excel.
  • Familiar with HIV indicators, its recording and reporting tools and programmatic performance tracking.
  • Able to conduct research, assessment, and survey.
  • Knowledge of report writing and dissemination.
  • Familiar with digital platforms and web language.
  • Knowledge of ensuring accuracy and consistency in data and reports.

3. Position: Project Officer

Duty Station: Doti and Achham (Sudurpaschim Province) and Dailekh, and Rukum (W) (Karnali Province)

Required Number: 4 (1 in each district)

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health, Population, Social Science or equivalent with at least 3 years’ working experience in HIV Program or relevant program or sector.
  • Knowledge of programming, program implementation, and team handling and mobilization.
  • Knowledge of HIV and TB program in Nepal.
  • Familiar with HIV recording and reporting system of Government of Nepal.
  • Familiar with ONHIS and NHSP 2021-2026.
  • Good knowledge of logistic management and stock handling. 
  • Good command and skills to operate MS office software (MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Competent in coordination, collaboration, and liaison with government and non-governmental stakeholders as well as local communities.
  • Commanding in communication skills and documentation.
  • Skills of report writing, data interpretation, and presentation.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree in BBS/B.Com/BBA or equivalent with at least 3 years working experience in the development sector.
  • Knowledge of FAMAS.
  • Skills of budget preparation and controlling.
  • Knowledge of financial management and accounting principles.
  • Skills and knowledge of donor compliances and auditing.
  • Knowledge of procurement, store management, logistic management, inventory management, and assets management.
  • Knowledge of taxation, ETDS, and Social Security.
  • Knowledge of Budget review, budget vs expenditure analysis, and Fund Request.
  • Familiar with safeguarding at all levels.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experiences

  • CMA, ANM, Lab Assistant or equivalent with 3 years' working experience in HIV or Health related program or Intermediate level in health  with 2 years working experience in HIV or health related program.
  • Able to coordinate and collaborate with FCHV, Community leaders, and community influencers.
  • Knowledge of HIV, TB, and TB screening and referral mechanism.
  • Knowledge about community mobilization, coordination with local government authorities, ward authorities, migrants and their spouses (India) and program mapping.
  • Knowledge of HIV and TB program recording and reporting tools.
  • Skills of operating smart phone and tablet.
  • Skills on online recording and reporting procedure and system.
  • Familiar with social media, and digital platforms.
  • Knowledge of group handling, conducting meetings and report preparation.

6. Position: Community Health Worker

Location: Achham, Doti, Baitadi, and Bajhang

Required Number: 4 (1 in each district)

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experiences

  • CMA, ANM, Lab Assistant or equivalent with 3 years' working experience in HIV or Health related program or Intermediate level in health  with 2 years working experience in HIV or health related program.
  • Able to coordinate and collaborate with border police, custom officials, and other respective informants.
  • Knowledge of HIV, TB, and TB screening and referral mechanism.
  • Knowledge of counseling, communication, and identification of HIV suspected cases among travelling and returning migrants to and from India at the transit point and boarder.
  • Knowledge of HIV and TB program recording and reporting tools.
  • Skills of operating smart phone and tablet.
  • Skills on online recording and reporting procedure and system.
  • Familiar with social media, and digital platforms.
  • Knowledge of group handling, conducting meetings and report preparation.
