Rupantaran Nepal (RN) is a social enterprise dedicated to transform people's lives, by mobilizing and managing resources, promoting social justice, and nurturing collaboration. It was established in December 2009 by a group of Nepali development professionals and social activists having long and vivid experiences in climate change, livelihoods, forest/natural resources management, GESI, monitoring, evaluation and learning and community-driven development.
RN is a consortium partner of DAI Global, LLC in implementing USAID Biodiversity (JalJangal), which aims to conserve nature, enhance human well-being, and safeguard Nepal’s biodiversity to improve the health of ecosystems, fight environmental crime, and improve the ability of communities to prepare for and adapt to impacts caused by climate change and natural disasters. The activity will achieve measurable conservation targets within the biodiversity-rich, terrestrial, and freshwater ecosystems in and around the Chitwan-Annapurna Landscape, Kailash Sacred Landscape, Terai Arc Landscape, and the proposed Karnali Conservation Landscape.
To accomplish conservation targets, USAID Biodiversity (JalJangal) is implementing activities aligned with three mutually interrelated and reinforcing objectives: improve the health of ecosystems (Objective 1), strengthen environmental crime control and natural resource safeguards (Objective 2), and enhance the climate resilience of natural and human ecosystems (Objective 3).
In achieving the targets under the objective three, RN seeks result-oriented professionals as a Short Term Technical Assistance (STTA) for"Development of the Local Adaptation Plans for Action" and "Facilitation of the Training to Forest, Environment and Disaster Management Committee" at municipal level.
