Sindhuli Integrated Development Services Nepal (SIDS/Nepal) is a national, non-profit making, non-political, and secular organization. It was registered in 1994 with the District Administration Office, Sindhuli under the Organization Registration Act 2034 B.S. SIDS/Nepal is continuously being supported by different national, and international donors and I/NGOs as well as the government of Nepal.
Now, SIDS NEPAL has been implementing the Nutrition Resilience Livelihood Technical Programme (TP) in partnership with World Vision International Nepal since November 2020 with the goal child are well nourished. The organization is in under recruitment process and seeking highly motivated, competent, and dedicated applicants for Sindhuli-based positions for a Nutrition Resilience Livelihood Technical Programme (TP).
1. Job Title: Programme Manager-1
Position Description:
Purpose: The Programme Manager will lead the overall program portfolio between Four hundred thousand to Six hundred thousand (in figure 400,000 - 600,000) USD budget per annum to implement provided sectors with a cohesive integration among sectors and cross-cutting themes. The child well-being outcomes will be the key focus to strengthen the sustainability efforts with community groups and in government systems. The team will be led with strong motivation and effective workforce management to manage effective implementation through comprehensive planning and problem-solving approaches. This position has the imperativeness to highlight key successes and evidence of the program through validated data, effective information management systems, and case studies.
This position expects to have agile leadership to manage multiple priorities, adapt to change, and incorporate learning in the program and managerial scope. The incumbent is expected to maintain good coordination and collaboration with internal and relevant external stakeholders to effectively manage the program. Along with this, there should be a strong focus on program sustainability efforts as envisioned by the given projects and program.
This position expects to maintain a strong professionalism and role modeling for the team and others to demonstrate integrity, accountability, passion, commitment, and strong team spirit. The incumbent should be able to work independently and interdependently managing every kind of situation and context. The major responsibilities with relevant key capabilities stated below are envisioned to be able to lead the organization meeting the expected deliverables confidently.
The incumbent strives to empower community groups, households, and institutions to address and manage the issues to sustain. The local resources are managed well to effectively run the project interventions for a longer run.
This position requires to be innovative and problem-solving skills to adapt to changes and multiple priorities.
Major responsibilities
- Portfolio Management (portfolio program, reports, risks, problem-solving, team, governance)- 40%
- Solid Programmes Quality and Technical Management (MEAL data/information, technical program, project models, integration of sectors including sponsorship / cross-cutting themes-GESI, DRR)- 20%
- Community empowerment and engagements at different levels for sustainability –15%
- Evidence of program impact or Result collection/compilation to be shared at/for wider platform- 15%
- Strong Relationship and Partnership Management (internal and external) – 10%
Key Capabilities:
A. Programme Management:
- Develop a comprehensive operational calendar highlighting key milestones and financial projections
- Ability to integrate multiple projects and cross-cutting themes to contribute to strategic objectives and child well-being outcomes
- Identifying potential risks, developing mitigation strategies, and effective risk management in place
- Guide the team in achieving community empowerment and promote sustainability drivers
- Prepare quality reporting to share with different stakeholders as per the requirements and needs
- A strong financial and supply chain management leadership to manage the program effectively and stewardship principles are adhered to well
- Integrated workforce management to be more strategic and effective in delivering results
- Lead ineffective governance, child, and adult safe organization compliances and are practiced well
- Conduct periodic review and reflection to accommodate failures and successes appropriately
- All the audits are conducted timely and responded appropriately against the corrective measures
- Lead the team to manage the provided resources in an efficient and responsible manner
B. Capacity Building
- Conduct periodic staff performance appraisals against the set performance objectives contributing to programme deliverables with a proper performance management system in place
- Demonstrate strong leadership to coach, mentor, and guide the team in delivering their plan/tasks
- Conduct regular capacity assessments of the programme team and provide needful support to demonstrate better leadership
- Promote agile and strategic leadership to manage challenges, pressing priorities, and multiple stakeholders’ requirements in different contexts and circumstances
- Support and encourage the team to adapt to change and also the ability to accommodate new learning and guidance/requirements including contexts such as emergencies
C. Monitoring & Evaluations
- Lead the team in managing validated data and information to reflect program results in a timely manner
- Ensure that all the program data are recorded on the digital platform within the deadline
- Support team in best utilizing the provided digital platforms to input correct data and regular review and analysis of the data and information
- Strongly lead the team in maintaining integrity in data and information management
- Provide factual and accurate data and information as required by the system or requirements timely
- Produce periodic reports on community feedback, MEAL results in order to review, analyze, and make corrective measures to excel in quality delivery timely
- Ensure that all the findings from the field monitoring are recorded in the quality benchmark system and accountability system and that necessary action plans are made
- Ensure the use of quality benchmarks/minimum quality standards/implementation guidelines during monitoring
- Document the case stories making a linkage with child well-being objectives in support of MEAL staff
- Conduct data-based discussions on a periodic basis in collaboration with MEAL staff and develop necessary action plans for quality programming
- Led DPAC/Municipal level project advisory committee meeting in support of MEAL staff and the WVI Nepal team
D. Relationship Management:
- Develop strong coordination with local, district and provincial governments to profile programme advocacy efforts with appropriate means and platforms
- Convene strategic coordination and collaborations with relevant stakeholders to share the resources and produce greater impact
- Provide strong and strategic leadership on team cohesion to avoid conflict and promote an encouraging and conducive working environment
- Manage effective communication and coordination with staff, PNGO board and all relevant stakeholders to manage the programme effectively
E. Child and adult safe guarding and sponsorship business
- Manage all the working environment in the office and working areas are child and adult sensitive
- Guide the team and organization in managing protection related matters appropriately
- Lead the organization in complying with all child and adult safe guarding policies, requirements and audits
- Manage all the sponsorship businesses as per the protocols and guidance provided by WVIN
- Registered children participation are well reflected in the provided reporting platforms
- Ensure operationalization of World Vision’s Child Sponsorship standards, Development Programme Standards and sponsorship integration in all phases of programming
Academic Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in the given sector, management, social science, or business studies with a minimum 7 years of working experience in managing multiple projects with diverse teams or,
- Master's degree in the relevant field, management, social science of business studies preferred with a minimum of 4 years of work experience in managing multiple projects with a diverse team
- Proven ability to manage risks and promote governance to contribute to strategic outcomes
- Experience working with children and their well-being in both developmental or emergency contexts
Sector Knowledge:
- Sector knowledge on maternal child health and nutrition (Infant and Young Child Feeding practices (IYCF), Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (IMAM), Maternal and infant young child nutrition (MIYCN), Multi-sector Nutrition Plan (MSNP), Child-Friendly Local Governance (CFLG) and Nutrition Friendly Local Governance (NFLG))
- Have good technical knowledge and experience in sector, data and information management
- Proven project management and financial management experience
- Diverse team management to yield quality results within the stipulated time period
- Presentation skills to highlight the areas of success and failures with qualitative and quantitative data and relevant information
2. Job Title: Programme Officer (Nutrition)-1
Position Description:
Purpose: Nutrition is responsible for managing the nutrition component of the Nutrition and Resilient Livelihood Technical program (NRL TP) in the respective district/ADP ensuring compliance with WVIN’s sectoral and quality standards and Nepal Government’s policies and norms.
The purpose of this position is to lead nutrition programming, capacity building, and coordination across the project team. With technical guidance from the NGO Program Manager/WV Field Health and Nutrition Lead, the incumbent will effectively implement nutrition programming using necessary technical tools, quality benchmarks, and guidance materials and analyze project results for continuous improvements of project design and implementation. The role provides support and backstopping for external relationship building with government line agencies and other related stakeholders in the district.

Major responsibilities:
- Lead nutrition component of NRL TP and monitor the performance of project team in the implementation of project ensuring project activities are delivered within scope, time, and budget
- Annual planning, budgeting, and project activities implementation
- Coordinate across nutrition field staff to ensure the development and regular use of all technical tools including implementation guidelines, quality benchmarks, training materials, training curriculum, information materials, behavior change communication (BCC) materials, and other resources
- Orient Field Officers and Mobilizers on programming tools and materials for successful program implementation
- Capacity building of Field Officers and Mobilizers to ensure adequate competencies at the field level to deliver all necessary components of the nutrition program
- Ensure meaningful participation of Registered Children in project activities.
- Regular monitoring and analysis of program results in coordination with the MEAL team
- Learning and sharing meetings with project staff and government staff for continuous improvement of the project as well as relationship-building
- Identify, assess, and communicate risks associated with the implementation of the project, and develop mitigation measures
- Regular reporting, documentation, and collection of success stories on a regular basis.
- Maintain strong coordination with all WV Technical Programs
- Maintain strong relationships with technical officials of government institutions and like-minded organizations in the district
- Integrated workforce management to be more strategic and effective in delivering results
- Lead ineffective governance, child, and adult safe organization compliances and are practiced well
- Other tasks will be as per the guidelines of recent line manager
Academic Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor in Public Health or Nutrition related Science with at least 3 years of experience in health/nutrition project management, preferably having worked in close coordination with government institutions like rural/municipality, health facilities, previous District Health Office etc.
Sector Knowledge:
- Sector knowledge on maternal child health and nutrition (Infant and Young Child Feeding practices (IYCF), Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (IMAM), Maternal and infant young child nutrition (MIYCN), Multi-sector Nutrition Plan (MSNP), Child-Friendly Local Governance (CFLG) and Nutrition Friendly Local governance (NFLG))
- Government policies, strategies and training packages (Comprehensive Nutrition Package)
- Informed and able to disseminate WVIN NRL TP and priorities, core project model (PD Hearth and Citizen Voice and Action (CVA)) – Highly Desirable
- Sound knowledge on behavior change communication approaches, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) approach
- Updated knowledge of changing context
Project Management:
- Good understanding on operation issues like timely delivery of services, good planning and monitoring skill.
- Good understanding on donor reporting (in case of PNS and grant project) system and capacity to meet the standards
- Sound knowledge & skill in project risk analysis and management, including ability to manage project activities in changing contexts.
- Skills to analyze project-related data and incorporate in the report
- Sound knowledge on supply chain management
- Monthly budget forecast and planning, quarterly expense tracking, and review of expenses.
- Meet financial requirements and deadlines as per compliance; verification of vouchers, advance settlements etc
- Good report writing skills for monthly, semi-annual and annual reports
Capacity Building:
- Sound skills in capacity assessment/training need assessment process and tools for staffs and target group
- Skills on project staff mentoring and onsite support
- Good planning skills for project staff development and growth.
- Ability to build the capacity of the staff
- Conduct periodic staff performance appraisals against the set performance objectives contributing to Project deliverables with proper performance management system in place
M&E
- Sound skill to make periodic M&E plan
- Sound knowledge of monitoring tools and methods
- Good analysis and presentation skills
- Skills to incorporate the findings/feedback into programming
- Project database (such as near real-time monitoring, PD Hearth, beneficiary tracking) establishment, Activity Tracking and interpretation skill
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications
Relationship Management:
- Stakeholders mapping skills for the broader benefit of the project
- Good meeting facilitation and documentation skills
- Capacity to identify local advocacy issues around NRL programming
- Produce database monitoring and interpretation skill
Presentation skills in different forum and network
- Child and adult safeguarding and sponsorship business
- Manage all the working environments in the office and working areas are child and adult-sensitive
- Guide the team and organization in managing protection-related matters appropriately
- Support the organization in complying with all child and adult safeguarding policies, requirements, and audits
