Job Location: BRP Group Office, Baluwatar
Job Description:
- Planning travel accommodations, booking flights, hotels, car rentals and coordinating activities
- Managing and processing all travel-related documents including payments, itineraries, visas, medical and legal forms
- Researching travel deals and evaluating prices and services
- Liaising with travel partners, including airlines and hotels, to manage bookings and schedules
- Cooperating with clients to determine their needs and advising them appropriate destination, modes of transportations, travel dates, costs and accommodations
- Providing relevant information, brochures and publications (guides, local customs, maps, regulations, events etc) to travelers
- Promoting and marketing the business
- Implementing innovative ideas for achieving new business
- Dealing with customer enquiries/complaints and aim to meet their expectations
- Attending travel seminars to remain updated with tourism trends
- Preparing travel budget reports
- Maintaining statistical and financial records
Qualifications and Skills:
- A Bachelor’s degree in tourism, travel, hospitality or relevant field
- Proven work experience as a Travel Agent of at least 2 years
- Excellent knowledge of computer reservations systems, GDS systems and e-travelling
- Fluency in English; multilingualism is a plus
- Strong sales skills and commercial awareness
- Ability to interact, communicate and negotiate effectively
- Sound knowledge of domestic and international travel trends - an awareness of the current trends in travel and knowledge of popular and upcoming destinations is also important
- Personal travel experience will be considered an advantage
- Time management skills - resilience to cope with long hours and pressure at peak times
- Customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Competent IT skills
- Communication skills
