To facilitate Leadership and Organizational Development Training for Partner CSOs under CEFM Project in September 17 to 19 at Naya Road Hariwon, Sarlahi.

Background:

The Rural Women Upliftment Association (RWUA), Haripur Sarlahi, is a non-governmental, on- profit, and non-political organization that was founded in November 7, 1993 AD) with the intention of bringing about social reform in the Sarahi district. It is registered with District Administrative Office (DA)-Sarlahi district and is affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC). It's a renowned organization run by women. It has collaborated with the government and INGOs ever since it was founded. Through the social mobilization of women and underprivileged community members, integrated development Programmes are implemented, bringing these individuals into the mainstream of development. The group has worked with over 20 NGOs, INGOs, CBOs, and governmental organizations. Its highly skilled and qualified workforce can produce positive and productive outcomes for the community.

The CEFM project collaborates with local civil society organizations through agreements to conduct campaigns against child marriage. It also supports local governments in formulating legal policies and regulations against child marriage. The goal of the CEFM project is to operate campaigns against child marriage and raise awareness about it by partnering with local associations, organizations, and community representatives. To implement of activities, CEFP Project is going to conduct a three-days  Leadership and Organizational Development Training for Civil Society Organizations to Prevent Child Marriage in Sarlahi District.

The CSOs have been working in the field against child marriage and it plays a crucial role in advocating for children’s rights and ensuring their protection. Effective leadership and robust organizational development are essential for these organizations to maximize their significant impact and sustainability. This training aims to enhance the skills and capacities of CSO leaders to better manage their organizations and lead their teams effectively.

It announces the call of Expression of Interest (EOI) from experienced and qualified expert  to facilitate leadership and organizational development training for partner CSOs under the CEFM project in September 17 to 19, 2024 at Naya Road Hariwon, Sarlahi. Interested and eligible individual or organization are invited to submit EOI in the following address mentioning “Expression of interest" for facilitating leadership  and organizational development training in the subject line at Email:- rwua.haripur@rwua.org

Expected starting Date:- 17 September 2024

Objectives:

  • To enhance leadership skills among CSO leaders.
  • To strengthen organizational development practices within CSOs.
  • To provide practical tools and strategies for effective management and team leadership.

Scope of Work:

  • Review relevant background materials provided by the organizing entity.
  • Develop a comprehensive training agenda and materials tailored to the needs of CSO leaders.
  • Prepare interactive and participatory training methods to engage participants.

Conduct a three-day training workshop focusing on:

  • Leadership Development: Techniques, styles, and strategies for effective leadership.
  • Organizational Development: Best practices in organizational management, capacity building, and strategic planning.
  • Interactive Sessions: Group discussions, role-plays, and case studies to apply concepts.
  • Facilitate discussions and exercises that encourage participant engagement and practical application.

Materials and Tools:

  • Provide participants with training materials, including handouts, toolkits, and resources.
  • Ensure all materials are relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with the objectives of the training.

Follow-Up:

  • recommendations for further development and support for the participants.
  • Prepare a summary report of the training outcomes, including feedback from participants and suggested next steps.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in conducting leadership and organizational development training.
  • Strong understanding of civil society organizations, particularly in the context of child marriage and related issues.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to design and deliver engaging and practical training sessions.

Naya Roar Hariwon, Sarlahi

Consultant Activities:

  • The assignment will be undertaken through direct facilitation/delivery of training contents with consultation Project Coordinator, board members, project team, CSOs representatives, and Local government shareholders.

Consultant Deliverables:

  • The facilitators are expected to deliver high-quality Workshop on Leadership Development and Organizational Development  for Civil Society Organizations to Prevent Child Marriage  RWUA.. 

Consultant will report to:

  • The consultant will report to the Project Coordinator CEFM of RWUA. After accomplished the task, then submit a workshop event report to Project coordinator/ Admin and finance Section.

Timeline:

  • Within 5 days of Training.

Mode of payment:

  • 100% payment is done after completion task.
