Background

Through a holistic approach, Heifer works closely with smallholder farmers, in collaboration with local governments, private sector organizations, and other partners, to enhance agricultural practices, support women-led cooperatives, and create lasting economic change. This ultimately helps lift communities out of poverty while advancing toward more inclusive and resilient agri-food systems.

Heifer has been implementing the Innovations in Agro-Livestock Value Chain (IALVC) project to increase the sustainable income of smallholder farmers. The agriculture value chain component of this project primarily focuses on improving supply chain efficiency, establishing market linkages, and enhancing the value addition of target value chains. This is achieved by supporting producer cooperatives in establishing and upgrading vegetable, spice, and jaggery processing centers in partnership with governments, civil society organizations, and private sector entities.

The project has supported cooperatives in establishing a turmeric processing center in Chitwan and a jaggery processing center in Gulmi. As part of the marketing and branding efforts for these processing centers, Heifer Nepal is seeking expert services to develop video content, disseminate it through social media, and support the sales of these products.

Objectives 

The main objective of the assignment is to market and brand the cooperatives in Chitwan and Gulmi districts through the development of video content showcasing the turmeric and jaggery produced by the cooperatives. This content will be disseminated via social media influencers and content creators

Scope of the work 

a. Videos development: 

  • Develop at least 8 short videos (30 sec to 1 min) featuring two co-operatives, each highlighting their story, products, testimonials, etc. The content will be finalized in coordination with the Heifer team. 
  • Ensure that the videos are engaging, informative, and tailored to resonate with the target audience.

b. Dissemination of videos: 

  • The final videos should be published on different social media platforms (Facebook, Tiktok, Instagram, etc) by the designated social media influencers/content creators on a weekly basis to maintain audience engagement and visibility. 

c. Product sales:

  • The videos shared on social media platforms should positively impact product sales. 

Deliverables

  • Story board for each video
  • A total of 16 high quality videos, including all raw footage
  • Monitor the performance of each video and submit analytics for each published content on the social media platform
  • A brief assignment completion report
  • Analytics on lead generation and the quantity of product sales through the assignment

Timeline

  • The project is expected to run for two months.
  • The consultant must complete the pre-production, production and post-production phases within 15 days of awarding the contract.
  • The videos shall be posted on the social media platform of the designated social media influencer/content creators for at least two months (one post per week).

Proposal Submission

Interested individuals or organizations are invited to submit proposals containing the following:

  • Technical approach and methodology
  • Experience and credentials
  • Budget breakdown
  • Timeline and deliverables

Minimum requirement 

  • Prior 2-3 years of experience in developing social media friendly videos.
  • Must procure and manage other videography related equipment, including Camera. Rental charges will not be borne by Heifer International Nepal. 
  • The purposed social media page must specialize in the agriculture and livestock sector or in the promotion and sales of agricultural products.
  • The proposed social media page must have a minimum of 100,000 followers or subscribers.
