Background:
Rural Women Upliftment Association [RWUA] is a women-led non-government organization established in 7 November, 1993 AD in Sarlahi District, Nepal. The organization delivers quality services for long-last positive impacts on concerned and marginalized communities in the working district. In addition, the organization is working in Inclusive and Quality Education, health and hygiene, multi-disabled children, farmers, Livelihood promotion, women, children and senior citizen, and the environment in partnership with Save the Children in two municipalities Ishworpur and Haripur Municipality of Sarlahi district.
Since October 2022 AD., the organization has been implementing the SIDA (Sankalpa) project in partnership with Save the Children in Sarlahi district. The overall objective of the project is to strengthening civil society in Nepal is to become more robust actors that enhance state accountability and empower civil society in Nepal to become more vigorous actors that act in enhancing state accountability and empowering children and their communities to realize children's rights. The project has four strategic goals (a) Increase Civil Society Organizations' Capacity, (b) Develop children's agency in Society, (c) Promote child rights and increase equitable access to quality service and (d) Recognize civil society as a key actor in all governments' decision making relevant to children's rights in general as well as their rights to protection, health and education.
It announces the call of Expression of Interest (EOI) from experienced and qualified expert to produce a video documentary of the organization`s best practices.

Purpose of the EOI:
The key objective is to produce best good stories, case story and organization good practice video documentary that showcase the stories, best practices, case story and advocacy initiatives of child club network, Municipal level network, Government officials, Municipal elected bodies, CSOs members, Board members and Organization key staffs.
Scope of the Work
The consultant/ firm will be responsible for the following task
- Develop a detailed scripted and story board in consultation with CSOs, Program coordinator and Organization board members.
- Identify and interview key focal person of Haripur and Ishworpur Municipality, organization staffs, board members, Child club network members and Local CSOs members.
- The video cover Sarlahi District ( Haripur and Ishworpur Municipality) along with District coordination Committee.
- Documentary should be high quality video documentary (20-30 minutes) that capture the overall SIDA/ Project achievements of till date.
- Ensure the documentary is accessible with subtitles and voice over in Nepali and English
- Provide a short promotional trailer that organization have best (2-3 minutes) for social media and others platforms.
Deliverables:
- Script and storyboard outline should consultation with organization and program staff.
- Raw footage of all interviews and relevant B-roll:
- It is supplementary footage used to enhance a story or provide visual context. This could include shots of the environment, people interacting, or other contextual visuals that help illustrate the interview content.
- Final edited video , case story, saying, good practices (20-30 minutes) in high definition digital format.
- Promotional trailer (2-3 minutes) in high definition digital format
- Subtitle version in Nepali and English
Qualification and Experiences:
- Proven experience in documentary filmmaking, particularly on social issues.
- Strong storytelling and script writing skills
- Experience working with Dalit, Marginalized, Muslims, Madhesi and Local stakeholders and I/NGOs.
- Proficiency in video editing software and equipment
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Logistic and support
The consultant is responsible for arranging logical support, including venue arrangements, and necessary equipment. RWUA will support in arranging necessary contact and stakeholders.
Payment and Schedule:
The consultant will be paid in two installments (i.e. 40% at the beginning and 60% after the completion of the assignment by the RWUA, Sarlahi Nepal.
Reporting:
The consultant will work on the supervision of the Executive Director/ Project coordinator. During the span of the assignment, the consultant will work in close coordination with RWUA project staff and will provide necessary information and support to catch of the good practices and stories.
