The Danish Red Cross (DRC) has had an enduring partnership with the Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS) for more than 30 years, consistently working to alleviate human suffering and enhance community resilience. The mission revolves around reducing vulnerability through community participation, mobilizing volunteers, and strengthening organizational structures. One of the most considerable contributions has been in the realm of disaster risk management (DRM), collaborating with the NRCS, DRC has pioneered numerous innovative approaches, notably, having introduced the concept of anticipatory action. By acting in anticipation and providing early assistance, DRC has been able to reach affected families before disaster strikes.

It is critical that the NDRRMA coordinates all such initiatives and ensure those come under a common guiding framework and direction from the government of Nepal. In this context, NDRRMA has called on partners to support its ambition to establish a dedicated unit on AA (national AA clinic) that can provide technical support/guidance & strategic directions to organizations and agencies working or planning to work on AA.
