“Scaling Up Climate Resilient Agriculture for Sustainable Livelihood of Smallholder Farmers in Nepal (CRA) Phase III” is being implemented in Sindhupalchowk, Kaski, and Syangja districts in Nepal with funding support from Bread for the World (BftW), Germany and DKA Austria. Project’s Phase-I was initiated in 2018 and third Phase-III is being implemented from October 2024 to September 2027. The project promotes an agroecological farming approach that approach that utilizes and promotes crop diversity, improves soil health, conserves and sustainably utilizes water and other natural resources, maximizes utilization of local resources and empowers women, Indigenous communities and smallholder farmers.  

LI-BIRD invites applications from eligible and qualified Nepali citizens who are committed and have the ability to deliver results with the highest integrity for the following positions:

1. Technical Assistant (Level 4) -3, Field-based (One each based at Annapurna RM-Kaski, Rupa RM-Kaski, Pokhara Metropolitan City-Kaski)

Job Summary: The Technical Assistant reports to the Sustainable Agriculture Officer and will be primarily responsible for implementing day-to-day field-level activities for the project. The Technical Assistant needs to work closely with farmers and their groups/cooperatives, local government and market actors to plan, implement and coordinate the project activities at the community level.  

Education and Experience: Intermediate in Agriculture Science (Plant Science) or JT with three years' experience or JTA in Agriculture (Plant Science) with five years of work experience in a rural setting.
