SOW for Audit

Equal Access International (EAI) is a communication for social change organization, headquartered in Washington D.C, with country offices and programs in Asia and Africa. EAI creates customized communications strategies and outreach solutions to support communities around the world to drive sustainable and transformative change in critical areas including governance, peacebuilding, youth, gender, and preventing extremism.

In Nepal, EAI is leading 'Change Starts at Home- Organized Diffusion for Intimate Partner Violence Prevention' (Change project) with an explicit focus on organized diffusion and social networks as a tactic for movement building around social norms change. 

EAI would like to start the statutory audit for the period of 17 July 2023 to 16 July 2024. Hence, EAI invites quotations from the chartered Accountants firms for the above-mentioned purpose within the time frame. The terms and condition of this audit program are as follows:

1. Scope of Work:

• Verify Equal Access International (EAI) program's Fund, for the period ending July 16, 2024.
• Verify compliance with the accounting guidelines and instructions applicable for EAI.
• Verify compliance with the local laws as applicable.
• Verify the follow up of the previous year's audit recommendations/ findings.
• Provide necessary documents for I/NGO tax clearance process.
• Furnish Management report against audit and recommended methods for improvement of financial management systems.
• Assess the accounting principles used and evaluate the overall financial statements presentations. the risk on program implementation through partners and vendors.
• Assess the adequacy and implementation of internal control system.
• Examine the follow up action for the earlier audit recommendation.
• Produce an independent audit report and the audit report should be written in English language.
• Audit should be started by 20th July 2024 and has to generate the report by 15th August 2024. Within this timeline auditing firm has to complete all the tasks with the support of EAI Nepal finance team.
• The audit report should be signed by no later than 20th August 2024.

2. Required documents

• PAN/VAT related docs
• CA registration certificate
• Tax clearance certificate if the firm is registered before 16 July of 2023.
• Checklist of the document’s viewer
• History documents of the company are available.
• Financial proposal

3. Payment schedule

• The company will receive the full payments within 20 days of the audit report is signed by both parties.
• The audit company should submit the invoice along with the request letter for the payment within 5 days of the report signing.
