Social Media Manager & Content Creator

We are a nonprofit dedicated to helping housing-insecure single moms reach their homeownership goals. We are seeking a super-skilled social media expert to help us share our story.

Job Title: Social Media Manager & Content Creator

Averaging 2 posts per week for Instagram/Facebook and LinkedIn.

Estimated Hours: 8-10/week

Initial Trial Period: 1 Day to create 2 content posts.

• Willing to travel

The initial trial period will determine if we are a good fit. By developing 2 posts to be used across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn (adjusted to be appropriate for the different platforms) we should be able to tell if we have similar ideas about the message, voice, and our work at NIVAS.

Beyond the trial period, we are seeking a Social Media expert who will create a 2025 social media plan as a collaborative process with our Nepal and US HQ, then go forth creating posts to meet our goals throughout the year.

You'll be in charge of discovering stories within our work to share on our SM platforms by communicating with our team members, homeowners, sometimes traveling to our work sites (currently in Makwanpur and Dang) and researching relevant market news. You’ll work directly with our photography to select/edit project photos to illustrate the content. If you love taking photos, that’s a bonus! Graphic design is not necessary.

You'll be joining a team that is passionate about equity for women and we love houses too! Our vision is a global team with flexible work conditions to accommodate the duties and lives of working women.

We need someone who delivers on time, is willing to ask questions, and is careful to use the right language in our somewhat sensitive field of work (charity and equity).

Twice per month, in-person coordination will need to occur sometime between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm Mountain Standard Time in the US (Denver).
