Introduction

Welthungerhilfe was established in 1962. It is today one of Germany's largest private organizations working in development cooperation and humanitarian aid, non-profit-seeking, non-partisan, and non-denominational. 

Donations from the population at large fund our work in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. In addition, Welthungerhilfe receives grants from the Federal German Government, the European Union, USAID/OFDA, the United Nations, and many other worldwide recognized donors.

For its country office located at Sanepa, Lalitpur, Nepal we are looking forward to have a Service Contract for the period of one year to provide the insurance service for its entire staffs including family members for Domiciliary and Hospitalization Treatment and also Group Personal Accident (GPA) insurance.

General remarks and special conditions 

1. The medical insurance policy should cover the following details:

• NPR 400,000 per family annually or NPR 100,000 per person for OPD
• NPR 400000 per family annually or NPR 100,000 per person for hospitalization
• Maternity cover - 40000
• Dental - 10000
• Eye - 10000

2. The term family refers to - employees and their 3 immediate family members.

3. Employees’ spouse or children or parents are considered as immediate family members for this purpose.

4. The policy should clearly mention coverage/limit under each section i.e - Doctor fee, medicine, lab test, xray, surgery charge, bed charge, etc

5. The maternity cover shall be per child during the policy period 

6. Dental treatment shall cover scaling, filling too

7. Eye treatment shall cover glasses, frame too. 

8. GPA insurance policy for employees covering the amount equivalent of their 60 months' salary.

9. The proposal/offer should mention the period of settlement after submission. 

10. Please mention the submission time of claim after illness/check-up/discharge.

11. Age limit for parents 

12. Eligibility of claim after date of insurance.

13. Please specify if the Claim is reimbursed in claimant account directly or through organisation, Welthungerhilfe.
