World Vision International Nepal (WVI Nepal) is a child-focused relief, development and advocacy organization that has been transforming the lives of vulnerable people and disaster affected communities since 2001. WVI Nepal has been implementing multi-sectoral programs partnering with local non-governmental organizations, local communities, civil societies, government and the private sector. Currently, WVI Nepal has long-term development programmes in Udayapur, Sarlahi, Mahottari, Rautahat, Sindhuli, Kathmandu, Lamjung, Jumla, Dailekh, Jajarkot, Kailali, Achham, Doti, Bajhang, and Kanchanpur across six provinces of Nepal out of seven provinces (except Lumbini Province), covering Nutrition Resilience & Livelihood, Inclusive Quality Education and Protection and Community Engagement Sponsorship Program.
World Vision International Nepal (WVI Nepal) is launching the project “Re-inventing Sponsorship for the Future” to create a digitally enhanced sponsorship experience. This initiative aims to strengthen real-time storytelling, deepen sponsor engagement, and empower children by celebrating their unique stories. The project will be implemented in Bajhang East AP, Rautahat East AP, Jajarkot I & II APs, Lamjung, and Urban Kathmandu APs.
In this regard, World Vision International Nepal (WVI Nepal), Kusunti, Lalitpur - 13, invites interested consulting firms or VAT registered individuals to submit proposals for a consulting assignment.
Consultancy Service: Media Training on Storytelling and Documentation for Child Leaders
The overall objective of this assignment is to provide media and storytelling training to selected child leaders (40 individuals + 8 Sponsorship leads spread cross the 5 aforementioned locations), enabling them to effectively communicate their experiences and program outcomes.
Specific Objectives:
- Train children on storytelling techniques, vlogging, and podcasting.
- Develop leadership skills among adolescent registered children.
- Enhance participants' abilities to create compelling, relatable content.
- Equip children with basic editing skills for audio and video content.
- Produce subtitles and finalized video content based on children’s creations.
- Create engaging and shareable reels for WVI Nepal's social media platforms.
- Photo feature showcasing the child's journey through various technical and campaign approaches of WVI Nepal in national print media.
- The interested Consulting firm/Consultant will have to produce both a technical and a financial proposal based on the Terms of References and submit the WVI Nepal National office,
Interested applicant(s)/firm are requested to submit a Request for Proposal [RFP], including:
- Technical Proposal: Highlighting at least understanding of the terms of reference, proposed methodology, team structure, quality assurance plans and a time schedule for the assignment
- Financial Proposal: indicative professional fees, travel cost, accommodation and all travel expenses during field work (e.g., vehicle rental), and supplies.
Expected Qualifications of Firm
The essential criteria for the consulting agency to qualify for the assignment are:At least three years of experience in media training and content creation.
- Previous experience working with development agencies and child-focused programs.
- Demonstrated ability to train children/adolescents.
- Expertise in audio-visual production and editing.
- Familiarity with safeguarding policies and ethical considerations for working with children.
Based on the details outlined above, interested agencies/firms are requested to submit a technical proposal and financial proposal considering the requirement and selection criteria indicated in the Terms of Reference [TOR] and Request for Proposal document.
Along with technical proposal, interested parties are also requested to submit a financial proposal to enable the delivery of the required objectives. The document should have annexed bio-data of the core study team members and a copy of one recently completed work of similar nature for reference.
