REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL: CONSULTANCY SERVICE TO DEVELOP GEDSI Training Manual and Facilitate Training [TOT]

WVI Nepal believe transform gender relation and social inclusion in programming address the root cause of poverty and vulnerability. Therefore, GEDSI is the crosscutting theme under all technical program, humanitarian response and advocacy. Furthermore, WVIN believes on diversity, inclusive organizational culture and women leadership at all level. To translate these principles into action, WVIN realized that staff should have equal understanding and knowledge to mainstreaming GEDSI into policies, programming and organizational culture. Therefore, this ToT has been planned for GEDSI focal points of WVI Nepal and PNGO, and G-SAB (GESI Strategic Advisory Board) members.

In this regard, World Vision International Nepal (WVI Nepal), Kusunti, Lalitpur - 13, invites interested consulting firms or VAT registered individuals to submit proposals for a consulting assignment.

1. Consultancy Service: To Develop and Facilitate GEDSI Training to Trainers to WVI Nepal and Partner NGOs

The overall objectives of the course are:

  • To promote better understanding of GEDSI concept within the organization and PNGO
  • To build knowledge on GEDSI mainstreaming in programming, policies and practices
  • To build GESI sensitive behavior and communication among all staff
  • To develop human resources who would be able to disseminate the GEDSI knowledge and skills at wider level 
  • To have a standard training manual for GEDSI

Expected Qualifications:

The essential qualifications from the consulting service providers to qualify for the assignment are:

  • Masters’ Degree in Sociology, Anthropology, Gender studies (M.Phil. would add value)
  • Has strong experience on Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) work 
  • Has strong experience on disability inclusion work
  • Has experience on delivering similar trainings to other development partners
  • Has strong experience of developing training manuals on GEDSI
  • Has experience on applying different PRA and other practical tools for training

WVI Nepal thereby invites interested and eligible consultants/consulting firms to participate in the competitive bidding and submit proposals for the required consulting service. Along with technical proposal, interested parties are also requested to submit a financial proposal to enable the delivery of the required objectives as listed in the Terms of Reference [TOR] Document
