The Promoting the Quality of Medicines Plus (PQM+), is a program of U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), implemented by United States Pharmacopeia (USP) invites Request for proposal (RFP) from interested Service provider (consultant/consulting firm) to provide Capacity strengthening training to National Medicine Regulatory Authority.

Leadership, decision-making and strategic planning: These training programs should equip regulatory staff with the ability to make well-informed decisions and provide effective leadership within their teams which strengthens the overall regulatory process. 2. Enhancing customer experience and relationship management: Focusing on customer experience and relationship management, allows the service providers to engage more effectively with stakeholders such as healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, and the public. This improved engagement fosters trust, cooperation, and transparency, which are essential for effective regulation. 3. Efficient organizational knowledge management: Through a focus on organizational knowledge management, the staff learn to ensure that critical information is stored, accessed, and used efficiently. This promotes consistency and informed decision-making in regulatory practices. |
The U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) is a scientific nonprofit organization that sets standards for the identity, strength, quality, and purity of medicines, food ingredients, and dietary supplements manufactured, distributed, and consumed worldwide. USP’s drug standards are enforceable in the United States by the Food and Drug Administration, and these standards are used in more than 140 countries.
The Promoting the Quality of Medicines Plus (PQM+) is a U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)program, implemented by U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP), seeks to sustainably strengthen medical product quality assurance systems in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). PQM+ provides technical assistance to build in-country capacity of medicines regulatory authorities and quality assurance systems in assisted countries.
As part of these efforts, PQM+ seeks to support the Department of Drug Administration (DDA) including National Medicines Laboratory (NML) by enhancing the competencies of their staff through targeted training sessions.
Interested Service provider having relevant experience of providing similar training are requested to submit the following documents –
- Organization’s VAT registration certificate with latest tax clearance certificate
- Company or individual profile, including qualifications and/or experience relevant to the proposed training topics.
- Proof of experience (Trainer certificate/reference letter/reference organization) for providing training to various level government personnel on similar topic.
- Personnel with experience in the public administration of Nepal as a trainer is preferred.
Service providers should submit their applications with required documentation through email to prakash.bhattarai@usp.org Eligible suppliers/service providers meeting the above criteria only will obtain complete solicitation (RFP) documents.
Eligible service provider may submit their proposal in providing the required training service by emailing to prakash.bhattarai@usp.org labeled with RFP Ref # GHMS_PIF_03328_Procurement of Capacity strengthening training to National Medicine Regulatory Authority on or before December 15, 2024, 5:00 PM, Nepal time.
Application received after the deadline will not be considered for evaluation.
Note: PQM+ reserve rights to accept or reject any/all bidding document without necessary reason.
