Annual Gross Salary:  NPR 1,837,500 – NPR 3,062,500 (Salary fitment would be based on the qualifications, experience and the current profile of the selected candidate)

THE ROLE

In this key role, you will provide methodological support and strategic insight to programme development in the Asia Pacific region. This involves working with the regional team, country directors and programme managers to support them in the adoption of VSO’s People First new programme framework.

It is important that you ensure our interventions are pro poor (anti poverty), address exclusions that result in poverty, are accountable and are based on the 3 elements of sustainable development (social, economic and environmental coherence). 

Supporting reflective practice, you will promote participatory and evidence-based methodologies to support ongoing programme development work in country office and across the region, and within VSO as a whole.  You will be promoting and provoking critical dialogue between Asia & Pacific staff and volunteers about methodological approaches working with country offices to ensure information sharing and peer learning on development approaches.

THE APPLICANT

You are highly experienced in the development, implementation and management of development programmes. 

You have significant hands on experience of working through participatory development methodologies as a practitioner and as a strategist, with skills in gender analysis, poverty analysis, stakeholder mapping and social exclusion analysis.

This role can be based in Thailand Cambodia, Nepal, or Bangladesh. Candidates need the right to work in one of these locations.  National terms and conditions will be offered.
