Quality and Technical Assurance Officer

Quality and Technical Assurance Officer needs to ensure quality technical services within Sunaulo Parivar Nepal (SPN) & Marie Stopes Services Pvt. Ltd. (MSS), in all centres and outreach activities.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Make database of supportive supervision related data including training need assessment of provider
• Produce quarterly  clinical service department report and submit to line manger every quarter
• Closely follow up of major incidents and work on tracker sent from global MDT
• Work to clarify insurances related to incidents.
• Perform QTA in allocated centers.
• Follow up of action plan developed after QTA and supportive supervision
• Provide core services –MSP/MSMP/IUD/Implant/Short term family planning methods/STI management/counselling if need arises in the service sites when there is staff gaps
• Assist in sterilization service if needed
• Take concerns of the centers and outreach teams regarding quality and share with QTA managers
• Disseminate any documents related to quality to the centers after approval from QTA managers

JOB SPECIFICATION:

• Staff Nurse. Bachelor in Nursing preferred.
• CTS trained preferred
• Detailed knowledge of clinical protocols
• At least 3 years’ experience in working with directly in client care which includes counseling, involvement in delivering family planning services outside of clinics, delivering IUD, Implant, Safe Abortion services, Infection prevention, handling stock/other administration duties, involvement in reporting i.e. petty cash vouchers / collecting client data, a good understanding of the issues of women’s reproductive services and rights, experience in coordination working with women groups/ client mobilization.
• Ability to travel at short notice and spend long periods outside Kathmandu (up to a couple of months)
• Belief in a whole team approach to clinical quality management where everyone plays a role and everyone is responsible for infection prevention
