The Role
Public Heath Engineer sits within the Program - Wash and Water governance team. The role takes the technical lead in the field to implement early recovery to deliver quality project in the limited time. The position leads the implementation of WASH early recovery activities in flood affected areas.
What we are looking for
Public Health Engineer are responsible in taking the lead in implementation of WASH early recovery activities in flood affected area, reporting updates and information, ensuring donor compliance. We are looking for someone who have the following experience, knowledge and competencies.
- Experience of Project Management in WASH of WASH project.
- At least a bachelor’s in civil engineering with 5 years of experience in implementing WASH projects.
- Strong knowledge and experience on design, planning and construction of water supply systems, toilets and handwashing station.
- Experience of working with communities in WASH projects.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to deliver to often tight deadlines; self-motivated and target-driven
- Familiarity wit, calculation of beneficiary numbers, project budgeting principles and handling of basic statistics
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal (English and Nepali)
- Ability to analyse questions and collect appropriate information to respond.
- Highly developed interpersonal, influencing and relationship skills.
- Demonstrated organizational awareness and understanding of knowledge management.
- Ability to use Word, Excel and PowerPoint to intermediate level.

Desirable
- Past experience of working in disaster implementing WASH programs that includes quick fix of water supply, sanitation and hygiene.
