Established in 1997, SEBAC-Nepal is a national-level, non-profit making NGO. It is currently working in 44 districts of Nepal and is implementing various development and humanitarian Project. SEBAC-Nepal invites applications from young, qualified, energetic and result-oriented Nepalese citizens for the position of Proposal Development Expert.

Designation: Proposal Development Expert

Positions: One

Duty Station: Kathmandu

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of work experience in proposal development. Preference shall be given to candidate with experience in INGO.

Job Summary:

The proposal Development Expert is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the proposal development process for international as well as national donors and ensure the timely and accurate submission of quality proposals to meet the organization’s goals and requirements. 

Key responsibilities.

• Track and research various funding agencies for identifying and tacking funding opportunities and assess the feasibility of potential projects.
• Coordinate the proposal development process and establish clear responsibilities and timelines for proposal submission. 
• Conduct research on donors, their funding priorities, proposal guidelines and requirements to prepare quality proposals.
• Analyze and synthesize data and information relevant to the proposal, including local context and needs.
• Write and edit proposal narratives, executive summaries, ensuring clarity, accuracy and alignment with donor requirements.
• Collaborate with the finance team to develop detailed project budgets that align with the proposal’s objectives and meet donor specifications.
• Ensure that the proposals comply with donor guidelines, formatting requirements and submission requirements.
• Support in project implementation as well as reporting.

Required competencies and capabilities: 

• Master’s degree with a minimum of five years’ work experience. Preference shall be given to candidate with experience in INGO.
• Strong writing skills with excellent command of English language.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent skills in computer (Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Have experience in proposal writing, preparing concepts and EOIs including organizational capacity statements in innovative ways.
• Good inter-personal skills including capacity to write international level proposals.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
