Handicap International Federation (HI) is an independent and impartial aid organization, created in 1982, working across 63 countries. HI works alongside the vulnerable populations, whatever the context, taking action to respond to their essential needs, improve their living conditions and promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights. Present in Nepal since 2000, HI works through a network of local partner organizations in the area of health and physical rehabilitation, inclusive education and resilience including emergency response to improve the living conditions and involvement of the most vulnerable populations in Nepal.
AC6 is a five year action programme developed to Enhance Access of Women and Children with Disabilities and Vulnerable People to Social Services with Multi-sectoral and Holistic Approach (EA – Programme)” to be run in the 5 municipalities of Bajura, Jajarkot, Salyan and Sindhupalchowk Districts.
The overall objective of the action programme is to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities and vulnerable people with a holistic approach. Its specific objectives is: Improve Access of people with disabilities and vulnerable people, in particular women and girls, to quality rehabilitation and socio-economic inclusion services.
To achieve aforesaid objectives, various strategically designed activities related functional rehabilitation, and economic integration and social protection thematic will be carried out with the help of independently selected implementing partners NGOs and OPDs (Organization of Persons with Disabilities) of respective districts.
HI Nepal thus invites application for the following position to contribute in the implementation of it’s AC6 project:
1. Project Supervisor – 1 position
Mission: The Project Supervisor will take lead for Field Operations for the AC6 Framework Program Actions to be implemented in Badimalik Municipality of Bajura of Sudurpaschim province, Bheri Municipality of Jajarkot and Sharada Municipality of Salyan District of Karnali Province and Melamchi Municipality of Sindhupalchowk of Bagmati province along with ensuring functional coordination with all concerned stakeholders.

Base Location: Salyan or Jajarkot District
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead to facilitate and support project officers and project team of implementing partner NGOs/OPDs for field operations;
- Develop field implementation guidelines in liaison with the project team including HI and Implementing partners;
- Ensure effective rollout of the implementation plan in the field within the agreed time frame;
- Carry out functional coordination and facilitation activities at the field level related to local level with government authorities and concerned stakeholders
- Contribute to develop plan and support visit of funding agencies, missions of HI technical reference personnel for their technical and managerial inputs;
- Facilitate consultation, collaboration, linkages and networking with multi-stakeholders for disability rights promotion, inclusion and accessibility of persons with disabilities and vulnerable people of project catchments; and,
- Responsible for overall mobilisation and supportive supervision of field based staff
Qualification and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Management or relevant field with minimum 5 years of relevant proven working experience in project operations “OR” Master’s Degree in social Science, Management or relevant field with minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in project operations
- Experience related to thematic of Health and Rehabilitation or resilience or economic integrations system strengthening is preferable
- Demonstrated experience in project implementation
- Knowledge of health system of Nepal and disability rights promotion, would be added advantage
- Capacity to build and maintain effective working relations with national/provincial and local government authorities, relevant institutions, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations
- Proven team management skills and experience of working in a multi-cultural or diverse environment
- Sound writing skills with proven experience of report and case stories writing
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good analytical, organizational and operational skills
