Voice of Children (VOC), a Nepalese NGO, working with street children and deprived families in urban poor areas. Voice of Children (VOC) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established on November 2000 with a mission to contribute for the improvement of the living condition of the Street Children and their families in Nepal. The organization mainly focuses on those children, who suffer from various kinds of problems such as sexual abuse, harassment and other forms of violence and exploitation in the street and strives to re-establish them in the society with special attention to their needs and rights. Assistance in different ways and through different programs focused on the enhancement of the physical, mental, social and financial condition is catered to the needy street children and their families in order to reshape their lives.

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Voice of Children (VOC) works with children separated from families (street-connected, sexually abused, and at-risk children) to reintegrate them into their families and communities by improving their life skills and capacity for sustainability. VOC works with families living in vulnerable and poor areas to make them aware of available opportunities and services in communities to empower them for to prevention of their children from separation. It raises awareness to protect children from any form of child sexual abuse and offers legal, social, and psychological support to sexually abused children and their families.
VOC invites applications from qualified and result-oriented Nepali citizens to be recruited in the following position based in Lalitpur District.
1. Position: Project Officer -1
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with government and non-government child protection agencies, educational organizations, private sector organizations, and medias for project activities implementation;
- Design and develop the IEC materials and training manual on Online Child Sexual Abuse (OCSA) Prevention;
- Organize and facilitate the training, workshop and orientation with targeted key actors i.e. Child Rights Committees, Teachers, Child Clubs, Woman Groups, etc. on Online Child Protection;
- Manage the e-learning portal of the online protection of the children and follow-up of to know the results;
- Networking and coordination with Government, Non-Government and Private sectors stakeholders for Child Online Protection;
- Management of the cases of children who are affected from Online Child Sexual Abuse.
- Collection and documentation of data, information and case studies of activities for sharing and learning;
- Prepare planning and reports of project according to deadline of the activities.
- Monitoring and follow-up of the activities implemented in project area;
- Undertake any other initiatives to achieve the objectives of the project.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in development studies/sociology or related subject;
- Having 3 years’ work experience on child rights focusing on OCSA Prevention;
- Excellent facilitation skills and ability to work with multi-level stakeholders;
- Having capacity to analysis information, innovate the ideas and design into program;
- Good knowledge and skills on computer with Nepali typing and excellent in English;
- Good knowledge of laws and policies related to children including online safety;
- Ability to work in team and flexibility to work in odd timing also;
