Practical Action invites applications for the position of Project Officer to work for Practical Action Office Nepal for Strengthening and localization of multi hazard early warning system in Sudurpaschim Province, Lumbini Province in Nepal project. The position will be based in Dhangadi. 

About the role

We are looking for a competent Project Officer to provide technical assistance to implement the interventions of the project to strengthen multi-hazard EWS and impact-based forecasting in targeted provinces to improve EWS governance, effective and simplified risk communication, and enhanced coordination and linkages among all the actors in the DRRM landscape.

About you

You have the willingness and enthusiasm to work in challenging situations. You have a proven experience in the DRR and EWS. You are familiar with the context of Sudurpaschim and Lumbini Province and the river basins of the provinces. Experience of engaging with stakeholders for influencing for strengthening multi-hazard EWS is preferred.
