Terre des hommes (Tdh) Foundation is a leading Swiss children's rights organization dedicated to child protection, improving children’s health, and crisis intervention worldwide. Tdh is active in Nepal since 1985 and has been implementing various activities focusing on Health, Migration, and Access to Justice programs, with a focus on system strengthening, advocacy, and meaningful child and youth participation.
Tdh, in partnership with Geruwa Rural Awareness Association and local governments, has been implementing Prayaas Project [WASH in Institutions (health care facilities and schools) and Communities] in Bardiya district. The objective of the project is to achieve basic service standards for water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) at healthcare facilities and schools and installation and behavior change campaigns in the communities. The WASH in HCF component of the Prayaas project is aimed at improving the WASH facilities, waste management, and environmental cleaning in the targeted HCFs following WASH FIT. The School intervention aims at creating a healthy and environmentally friendly school following a Blue School roadmap that is jointly developed with school stakeholders including children. The community component includes the hand washing behavior change campaign through the promotion of handwashing stations in collaboration with the local governments.
Tdh Nepal is seeking a qualified and dynamic Nepali National to work in Prayaas “WaSH in institutions and communities project” for 6 months and anticipated 42 months project (July 2023 onwards) as the Project Manager- WASH and Health based in Bardiya District.
