ADRA Nepal is searching for a highly competent Project Manager for EU funded project named “CSOs Actions for Resilient Ecosystem and Community Project” and support to livelihood department including business development. The project has three intervention streams: i) Capacity strengthening and engagement of CSOs (such as CFUGs and BZCFUG), influencer (youth, women) and CSO networks in biodiversity conservation and restoration with a gender transformative approach; ii) Capacity building and support to Farmer Groups (CSO) and forest based products (timber and non-timber) and ecosystem services (ecotourism) entrepreneurs for livelihood opportunities and business, and iii) Creating enabling environment and promoting good governance with evidence-based knowledge generation, policy dialogues/forums and policy revision/ formulation in biodiversity conservation, sustainable utilization and restoration, human wild-life conflict, wild life trafficking and wider dissemination on national policies and international commitments.

Position: Project Manager
Station: Based in Banke district with frequent travel to field sites
The Project Manager will provide managerial leadership and oversight for EU funded Project operation (CSOs Actions for Resilient Ecosystem and Community Project) and support for the livelihood projects as needed. She /He will oversee the project management, support to monitoring units and learning components of the livelihood projects. PM will have responsibilities of supervision and management of supervisee staffs and implementing partners NGO. Project Manager has to manage finances, develop robust monitoring and evaluation system, ensure sustainability through developing sustainability plan and appropriate exit strategy, and ensure ADRA and donor compliance while implementing the project. She/He is required to coordinate with other agencies at local, district, provincial and federal level for necessary documentation, required permission/approvals, implementation of project activities and synergistic outputs. He/she will be engaged in exploring opportunities in new projects, selection of partners, conducting need assessment, developing concept notes and project proposals. He/she will provide technical and operational support to other livelihood projects especially in biodiversity and climate change sectors.
Qualification and Competencies:
Candidates are expected to provide a written response in their cover letter of how they qualify for each of the Key Selection Criteria as below:
Master's degree preferably in Forestry, Environmental Science, Development studies or equivalent; at least 5 years of experience in ecosystems, livelihood, climate change-based project cycle management in middle management level. Experience in multiple consortium partners handling will be value added; Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire staff, partners and other stakeholders with diverse backgrounds; Proven experience or interest in organizing and facilitating trainings; Strong communication and collaboration skills, notably the ability to present complex issues and required action in a simple, relevant, appropriate and practical way. Proven experience in concept note and proposal development for various donors.
