CREASION, a leading environmental non-profit, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Lead to spearhead the remaining three years of our EU-funded Green Shift: Circularity of Plastic Waste for Net-Zero Carbon Nepal project. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on Nepal's environment and contribute to a just transition towards a circular economy.

Imagine:

• Leading a multidisciplinary team to implement innovative plastic waste collection and recycling mechanisms.
• Empowering communities and stakeholders to embrace sustainable practices.

• Collaborating with key partners to achieve a net-zero carbon Nepal.

As the Project Lead, you will:

• Provide strategic direction and oversight for all project activities.
• Manage a talented team and ensure effective coordination with consortium partners (Restless Development Nepal and Youth Innovation Lab).
• Cultivate and manage strong relationships with government agencies, local communities, donors, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with donor requirements.
• Champion knowledge sharing and best practices in plastic waste management.
• Undertake frequent field visits (approximately 40% of your time).

We are looking for a leader with:

• A Master's degree in a relevant field (environmental science, social work, international relations, law, etc.).
• At least 5 years of managerial experience (10 years at a senior officer level preferred), ideally in solid waste management.
• Strong project management skills, including experience with donor reporting and compliance.
• Proven ability to effectively manage partnerships with diverse stakeholders, including government officials.
• Sound knowledge of circular economy principles, green economy, and sustainable development.
• A strong understanding of project management, GESI approaches, and community engagement.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Nepali.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for sustainability and a commitment to CREASION's values of Compassion, Playfulness, and Entrepreneurship.
